Synopsis: Henry Bloom is a sleaze bag of a surgeon. While he's at the office screwing and scheming, his lonely
wife is at home gazing at the stud gardener. The wife's gaze evolves in to some garden variety action while her
husband, the surgeon, gets more than his scalpel polished in this dirty DVD from Heatwave.

Features: This Heatwave DVD is chock full of extra features. The best of them being an Interview segment and
solo masturbation feature. Roxanne Hall, Ember Hayes, Liza Harper and Lauren Montgomery are all interviewed
individually as they masturbate to orgasm for you and the camera. A really cool extra, indeed. We also get a
behind the scenes peak at the filming of the flick (not still photos but live action backstage stuff). The DVD also
has a cast list, full motion chapter search and multiple angles. The multiple angles on the disc varied in quality but
it's a nice start for Heatwave.

Commentary: Meet Dr. Henry Bloom, a slick and slimy Beverly Hills plastic surgeon with a specialty in boob jobs.
In the flicks opening sex scene, Dr. Bloom is seeing his darling patient Roxanne Hall. Seems she is in love with the
guy and wants him to divorce his wife. Roxanne is much more interested in the doc's tools than anything else as
she quickly starts to deliver a rousing blow job. She wants to marry him so bad that she uses her ass as bait and
the good doctor jumps at the lure, tonguing both her holes and sucking hard on her lower lips. Great camerawork
highlight Roxie's large labia. Some nice angles highlight the Dr. plowing deep inside Roxanne's super slim body.
After some more oral action, they finish things off on the exam table as the doc shoot his specimen and, uh,
misses the cup!
Some rather lengthy plot contrivances follow as we meet the doctor's wife (Lauren Montgomery) and the
gardener. After a bit of teasing, they sit down and drink iced tea and talk about art. Later, at home, the gardener
fantasizes a bit about Lauren but this never really goes anywhere. It does, however, help round out a story line
and help make this a pretty decent flick for viewing with a significant other.
Today becomes tomorrow and the gardener goes back to the house to give Lauren a little gift. Lauren is with
her friend (Roxanne Hall) and they decide to put on a little show for the gardener. Roxanne licks and fingers
Lauren's tight hole a bit before the neon orange dildo makes an appearance. The dildo quickly disappears inside
Roxanne's pussy before journeying over for a taste of Lauren. Next up is a double headed dildo that the girls share
with gusto. Naturally, all of this action gets our buff gardener all turned on but when he approaches with an eye

In the final segment, the gardener and the wife finally consummate their passion with some backyard, outdoor
sex. He plows her till she's ready for his seed. Roses bloom. The end. Not really, stay tuned during the closing
credits for some very funny out takes.

From a DVD perspective: The image quality was excellent throughout. The DVD extras, especially the interviews
and behind the scenes stuff were superior. The multiple angle was a little weird in that it didn't always work and
when it did, sometimes it showed completely different positions. Full motion chapter search was excellent. The
sound was problem free.

Intangibles: The great extras, interviews etc., get this a bonus star.

Originally reviewed in October, BED OF ROSES transfers well to the DVD format, retaining not only all the incendiary sex, but also its crisp, clear image quality.

One must first endure the coming attraction clips in the beginning (seeing as pressing the Menu button is futile and delivers only an annoying "This operation prohibited in disc now.") Get past that, and have yourself some fun with the array of choices here. Nothing groundbreaking, but fun nonetheless. Choose the behind-the-scenes clips, and those viewers who wish they too worked in porn are treated to the sight of Dave Hardman attempting to balance a bottle of water on his erection; statuesque Lauren Montgomery; and saucy Roxanne Hall doing an impromptu naked calisthenics titty bounce in the grass.

Multiple angles are available in selected sex scenes, some of which seem to jump back instantly to the previous one, in a chugging, pixelated way. A relatively thing, really; you'll be more engrossed watching James Bonn give a sound ass-schtupping to Liza Harper, or the d.p. duo of Hardman and Rob tag-teaming the exotic, olive-toned bod of Dee, to name but a few.

A worthy addition to your DVD section.
