Cursed

The last movie I saw that was written, produced and directed by Chloe was VCA's Hayseed, which I have to admit, was pretty below-average fare. So I didn't have a lot of expectations going into Cursed, but wanted to watch it anyway since I have a real "thing" for Julie Meadows (who I still think has one of the nicest pairs of legs in the business!). Surprisingly, Cursed is a pretty good film and one that couples out there will definitely want to check out when considering their next purchase.

Most of the story is told in flashback, as Julie calls her friend Holly Hollywood over to her house to tell her the history of this devil's mask which she picked up in Mexico. We jump back to when Julie first discovered the mask, in a small shop run by Chloe and Kyle Stone. Julie tells Chloe that she is interesting in purchasing the mask, but Chloe tells her that she will let her have it for free if she will just hold it and watch while she and Kyle have sex. Julie's a little confused by this, but agrees, and the first sex scene has Chloe making out with Kyle and includes reverse cowgirl, anal missionary and a pop-shot onto Chloe's tits. Both Kyle and Chloe seem very happy when the sex is over, but Julie doesn't understand why she had to watch.

Taking the mask back to the motel where she is staying with her fiancé, played by Chris Cannon, Julie shows Chris the mask then proceeds to make out with him on the bed. After the two are done having sex, Chris vanishes in thin air...and Julie begins to understand that the mask she has acquired may be cursed.

Returning to the United States, Julie tests her theory by going to a bar and picking up Steve Hatcher and Pat Myne and using them as "test subjects". After an entertaining threesome (which may be Cursed's most entertaining sexual scene and one worth mentioning since Julie gets a DP!), the two guys vanish, and Julie realizes that she may never have a long-term lover again if she doesn't get rid of the mask.

Returning to Mexico, Julie tries to give the mask back to Chloe, but Chloe tells her that she cannot take it back. Kylie Ireland is in the store at the time and happens to overhear the conversation and wants Julie to follow her back to her place so she can try to get rid of her obnoxious boyfriend, played by Randy Spears. Randy and Kylie have sex (which ends with a nice facial), but nothing happens to Randy after it is over. The mask has bound itself to Julie, and until it finds another person to latch onto, the curse will be on her.

After hearing all of Julie's incredible story, Holly has an idea of how to get rid of the mask...she sends her lesbian lover, Daisy Chain, over to Julie's place to hold the mask while Julie has sex with her boyfriend, Eric Masterson. But this time when the sex is over, Eric does not disappear...the mask, apparently, has latched onto Daisy as its new "owner".

In the film's final scene, Daisy and Holly have a lesbian coupling while the mask hangs in the room. When the two girls have finished making out, we are left with the impression that neither girl disappears, although director Chloe pans the camera up and away from the girls before we can be absolutely sure.

I liked Cursed a lot. It doesn't have the budget or scope of some of the larger adult productions, but it's a well written story and I never got bored with it, either during or in between the sexual action. If there's a weak-point to the DVD it's in the bonus features, as the disc only provides a slide show, three previews and bios for a few of the girls (in addition to chapter selection and company information). I would have really liked to have seen a behind the scenes segment for this film, if only to see how Chloe directs a film and perhaps find out how she came up for the idea of Cursed.

There have been a lot of adult movies that focus on the supernatural in the past few years. Cursed is one of the better ones. Be sure to check it out!
