Euroglam Budapest: Nikki Blond

Since Michael Ninn left VCA, he's found a bit more creative latitude in working with Private and in the creation of his own production company, Ninn Worx. Like Euroglam Budapest: Wanda Curtis, this release emulates the same non-narrative approach, this time with Nikki Blond being the central focus.

Following a lengthy opening title sequence (that contains footage from all five subsequent scenes) we're dropped off in what appears to be some sort of alley. Vanessa Virgin makes eye contact with the camera and commences a seductive solo sequence, parting her black trench coat to reveal her fair skin and natural body. After fondling and fingering herself for several minutes, Nick Manning (porn's current Fabio figure) walks into view. He eats her out and fingers her before she drops to her knees to return the favor. They move through standard missionary and doggy positions before Nick slides it into her ass, eventually blowing his load on Vanessa's stomach.

Nikki Blond makes her first appearance in the second scene as she cavorts with Judit Vecsey. Meanwhile, Veronika (a brunette with great tits) stands nearby in a bath tub filled with milky water. Ninn seems more interested in watching Veronika pour bottles of milk over her body rather than focusing on Nikki and Judit, appropriately dressed in transparent rain coats. They eventually get their turn in the tub, but this sequence is quite short. As the scene reaches it's conclusion, Nikki and Judit get their fair share of screen time as they lick and nibble on each other while Veronika sits in the tub and watches.

Judit Vecsey returns in the third scene as she puts on a seductive solo show for Mick Blue in a lavish bedroom. After what seems like hours, she eventually approaches Mick and reaches beneath the covers to release his cock. She gives some decent head, then spreads her legs so Mick can feast on her shaved pussy. Mick eventually pushes his way in during a missionary setup, and follows up with some doggy and cowgirl action. Surprisingly, the scene ends with a nice facial.

Most disappointing is the scene with Nikki Blond and Wanda Curtis. What could have been an incredibly hot sequence is cooled down by Ninn's decision to keep both performers partially costumed in these unwieldy puffy dresses; Wanda in pink, Nikki in light blue. I'm all for sexy clothing, but this just doesn't work. Both Nikki and Wanda begin by going through their own (and separate) solo sequences. When they finally get together, it's Niki doing most of the work, fingering Wanda as she bends over. Nikki eventually gets some attention, but she's more of a giver than a receiver in this slightly unbalanced scene.

Nikki also appears in the final scene which is set on the steps of what appears to be an old mansion. She goes through the usual opening tease sequence while shear red curtains artificially dance in the doorway behind her...give me a break. There's only so much she can do by herself, so Chocky Ice shows up and eats her out right on those uncomfortable looking stone steps. As dusk gives way to night, Nikki goes to work on Chocky's cock, resulting in a somewhat messy blowjob. Then it's on to the fucking, as Nikki takes it from behind. It's not till they switch to reverse cowgirl anal that the background visuals eventually pay off, making for a nice composition. At the end, Nikki takes a facial and continues sucking and licking while eyeing the camera. Although the imagery is a bit heavy handed at the beginning, this turned out to be a good scene.

For a new company, Ninn Worx is putting out some good DVDs, but there's still room for improvement. Although this one lacks a number of extras, the video transfer looks pretty sharp. Ninn's use of soft focus results in somewhat blurred image, but the transfer handles this well, exhibiting hardly any pixelation. Presented in a standard stereo format, the audio (mostly consisting of music) gets the job done. I was also a bit disappointed by the lack of effort in the DVD menus. This one simply opens with a chapter selection screen with the photo gallery and behind the scenes featurette options available in a somewhat understated fashion. Even with a running time of 18 minutes, the behind the scenes footage offers little insight into the production. Instead, it's a montage of secondary footage, with a heavy emphasis on the milk/bath sequence.

For those familiar with Ninn, it's not surprising that most of this DVD plays like a Playboy video, complete with fancy backdrops, costumes, and a mere smidgen of hardcore thrown in with a subtle sense of reluctance. Ninn does his best to channel pretty porn masters like Andrew Blake and Cameron Grant, but his editing is far too robotic, resulting in a maddening string of shots that dissolve in and out of each other for no apparent reason or deliberate end result. It's almost as if he's doing it just because he can, or because he's following some sort of self-imposed rule that states, "a shot must not linger for more than five seconds." This is bound to drive some viewers crazy, but those annoyed by Ninn's style probably won't be checking out this title anyway. Instead of the brute mechanics of sex, Ninn's focus here is aesthetic beauty. So if you can look beyond the visceral appeal of porn, you may actually enjoy Ninn's effort. But those looking for harder content will want to look elsewhere.
