"Babewatch" directed by veteran porn stud Buck Adams back in 1994, and released by Sin City was a natural for porn: a knockoff of one of TV's most popular shows, the beach lifeguard T&A guilty-pleasure, "Baywatch." The current DVD was the first of a long series filmed by Adams (approximately six videos to my knowledge). The later videos would feature petite, big-breasted and blonde cutie-pie "April" (an early version of Vivid girl Devon); and the entire series was very popular in the mid-nineties. This first video production set the standard of sex-on-the-beach videos that kept the customers coming back for more.

First of all, "Babewatch" has a solid early nineties porn cast. Rebecca Wilde (who never really rocked the porn world, due to the lack of quality productions for her to participate in) is the big-breasted, Pamela Andersen blonde. Kylie Ireland, at the beginning of her career, gives an excellent performance as the big-breasted Erika Eleniak second lead. But, the greatest joy for those fans that started watching porn after 1995, is seeing for the first time a THIN (and natural breasted) Asia Carrera. In this video Asia was young and still blazing her way through porn productions, and she shows the form that won her a very loyal fan following, that would be inherited by a new, petite Asian, Kobe Tai, in the late-nineties. Rounding out the cast of females are three performers who have very limited product out on DVDs: Holly Body, who's only appeared in a handful of videos; a surprisingly attractive Bianca Trump, and redhead performer Brittany O'Connell. The storyline has to do with the sex lives of the lifeguards (just like the TV show). Which is to say, it's a series of set-ups for the sex scenes.

The best sex scene on the DVD is between Jon Dough, in the David Hasselhoff role, and Asia Carrera, as a newbie lifeguard (this video was made way before Baywatch moved to Hawaii, and added Stacy Kamono to the cast, so Asia isn't playing Stacy). Asia, like current Vivid girl Devon, knows how to spread her legs while in the missionary position to enhance the sexual heat of a scene: keeping them high in the air while the stud muffin bangs away. Asia's slim, tight body also looks great in the doggie position, or when she's on all fours giving head--both of which we get to see in her scene with Dough. We also get to see Jon and Asia in the "spoon" position--both of them lying on their side, with him behind her. Her top leg is, again, held high in the air, displaying her entire pelvic area to the viewer. It is a very rarely used position nowadays, but it packs a strong visual punch. The heat in this scene is real, and Jon, although his best performances were behind him at this point, looks like he's never enjoyed himself more.

The second best scene is something of a surprise. It is a threesome with Bianca Trump, Kylie Ireland and Tony Tedeschi. Kylie can usually be depended on to give a good performance, but the other two have disappointed viewers time and time again. But, not in this scene.

Both girls have large breasts (is there a pattern here?) and are energetic performers in this scene, with the contrasts between the blonde Kylie and dark, brunette Bianca playing out well as Tony switches from girl to girl. Kylie looks particularly good in a reverse cowgirl, and Bianca (who's ass was always her best feature) takes a pretty good doggie fuck from Tony. Bianca actually manages to look a little bit like Yasmine Bleeth, thought it would definitely be one of Yaz' "off days."

At this point it must also be pointed out that porn stud Tony Tedeschi looks remarkably good in this 1994 video: fit, trim and well-groomed. His appearances in the late 1990s always gives the impression that he was in need of a shave, a shampoo and a bath--and spoil the enjoyment of any scene he was in. There is no such distraction here; the viewer can actually believe that Kylie and Bianca would find him sexually attractive.

Two other boy/girl scenes standout in this video: the Holly Body and T.T. Boy opener, and the Rebecca Wild/Buck Adams closing scene.

Holly has huge breasts, even for her big-boned frame, and a face that is truly beautiful. If she had a leaner, toned body she could have given Racquel Darrien a run for the gold in the looks department. Anyway, Holly has just the one scene in this video, but, dressed in a blue halter top, that is really just two scarves, and above-the-knee boots, she's an instant hard-on, and gets right down to business with T.T. - who is pretty restrained in this video, displaying none of his rough sex antics that would limit his career. Holly rides the Boy cowgirl style and puts him away wet and, after a quick change to a missionary position, they finish with a nice cumshot on her stomach.

Rebecca Wilde, who is billed as the star of the video, only has one scene at the end of the DVD with (the video director) Buck Adams, playing a rescued race car driver, though she does have a masturbation scene right after the opening credits (which gives the viewer the opportunity to see her naked body).

Old Buck really reaps the rewards of being the director of this show. After some serious pussy eating, and a return-the-favor blowjob, Rebecca rides the pride and joy of AARP cowgirl style, then takes a terrific doggie fucking that looked like Buck was going to die in the middle of, and they finish with a missionary fuck, and with cum all over her face.

The much under-rated Brittany O'Connell has a girl/girl scene in the beginning with another redhead (Brooke Waters), while T.T. and Tony watch from behind a rock. This scene is very hot, with Brit's ass wiggling in the air very attractively.

The major attraction of this video is that, like the TV show "Baywatch", it has an attractive cast, performing sex scenes in the great outdoors. The pacing, however, is off throughout the video; scenes run on-and-on, and there's a sense that the director and editor don't know how to build the sexual tension. But, the bottom line is: this is a very "good looking" video, featuring some performers (Asia, Tony) who haven't looked this good in years. Go and buy it.
