One for the Specialists

There are good days and there are bad days in life. Sometimes you just know things are going to go well. Today is indeed a good day, as my I've picked my jaw up off the floor after unloading the massive 4 DVD boxed set for Fetish Circus, the latest bit of ArtCore from the wizards at Ninn Worx. My friends, we are indeed spoiled porn fans.

Pop in the Hardcore disc (they're all labeled), and you're immediately treated to a latex-ed out Aurora Snow making herself feel quite good. She's an immensely kind human being as well, and I recommend saying hello to her if you get the chance. Patiently shot, a couple of guys with some fetish outfits on come in. Not weird, but their faces are obscured, something I've always found to be a bit of a turnoff in porn. Eventually our lass Aurora gets a DP, always nice if you can watch with the sound up. One blast of cum lands on her latex boot, the other on the ball gag that was around her neck. The guy coats it good and shoves it in her mouth. Fetish fans should enjoy this.

The second scene has the luxuriousness of a brunette and a blonde with some shots of an all too intense looking guy. Generally quite a good scene, as the blonde gets thoroughly fucked, though there's no anal for the ass fans. The brunette is sadly uninvolved in just about everything, as all she does is occasionally play with herself. Seems a waste of a female body if you ask me.

The third scene is just far too messed up. Think an industrial midget, a decent looking blonde, and a fat woman masturbating in a tub of food. Sorry gang, but I don't like my stomach turning when I'm into porn. Two other girls show up and we get a three-way, but I just can't put up with the rest.

The next scene seems to be more about the scenery than the footage, sadly for us. I should also mention that the blonde in the scene looks downright scary rather than hot, and it did nothing for me.

There are three other discs for you to get through, as well. On the plus side, one of the bonuses is getting a disc devoted to solo scenes for each of the female stars. On the minus side, there isn't any footage here that is unique for the girls you saw in the hardcore section. The same goes for the ambient disc. While there are variations in footage and content, it isn't thematically different enough for a fan of straight up sex to be satisfied. For example, if you like the traditional Michael Ninn take on solo scenes, you'll probably be disappointed with most of them here. The theme is "Wow! Look! We're fetish!" rather than on capturing good porn.

I'm concerned from an audience perspective with Fetish Circus. I can't figure out precisely whom is the target for this release. There are enough different fetishes involved that leave me wondering what they were thinking, or if this was just the director making a film for the director. Sure there are plenty of extras here, but they are the same theme, that same elusive intended audience.

Sometimes my friends, we are indeed spoiled. With Fetish Circus, as we swim in the number of discs and anticipate the usual ArtCore release, I find it difficult to believe that we will find anything beyond disappointment. Expectations are high given both the studio and the packaging. But one should not underestimate the concept of fetish here, unlike say the Decadent Divas series, where the over hyped statements of fetish are thankfully quite tame. This is different enough to belong in the specialty rack, and it's the first time I can say that Mr. Ninn has disappointed me, though I can certainly see the art contained here. I'm just not seeing the core.
