Babes Illustrated 11

Babes Illustrated 11 has the most gorgeous women I've ever seen in a girl/girl video that Felicia wasn't in. And I've seen a lot of girl/girl videos. The director, who also did the almost-as-stunning B.I. 10, gives himself the improbable pseudonym of Mike Quasar, but if the rest of his work is as good as this then for all I care he can call himself Captain Kangaroo. Mike understands one aspect of adult entertainment that so many directors forget or ignore entirely: eroticism.

All of the scenes in B.I 11 are amazingly erotic, featuring lingering scenes of foreplay that, while they could probably contain more kissing, still build up the necessary sexual tension to get viewers really hot. The location, some vast mansion that has what looks like a never-ending swimming pool and a goldfish pond you can view from underneath, is incredible. The production values are high; Quasar shoots on the venerable Canon XL1 and even sprang for a dolly and tracks for a couple of shots. The editing emphasizes sensuality.

My favorite scenes involve a pair-up between petite blonde Goldie McHorn and the inconceivably stacked Logan Labrent. (Yeah, they're fake. So?) And a threesome between Brie, Cherie, and the superhot Nina Ferrari (also in No Man's Land #33) that begins with a fun water- fight. I was also stunned by a sofa session between April and Chrissy Sparks that goes beyond sex into something like real lovemaking. Few of the girls have the usual grotesque tattoos, and the ones who do Quasar takes pains to shoot so the tattoos aren't too visible. Well done, Mike.

The premise of the whole film is that uber-bombshell Tanya Danielle's rich hubby has just kicked the bucket, leaving her this huge house, which Tanya thinks the best way to make use of is to invite the best-looking lesbians in America over to have sex. No complaints here!

Some viewers might be driven crazy by the fact that Tanya just watches the other girls throughout most of the video; she becomes audience surrogate, masturbating to the spectacle. There's even a tease when Tanya joins the aforementioned water- fight, only to leave when the other girls start getting it on. Aargh! But of course, this is all part of the movie's tension, saving Tanya till last so we keep waiting to see her finally in the arms of some beauty. And who is it? Hallelujah, it's Nina Ferrari! True, their scene could have been a bit longer (I would have loved a missionary position strap-on fuck, and of course, more kissing), but the beauty of it all still makes it satisfying.

Kudos to Cal Vista for utilizing the multi-angle feature. Basically all you get is the same scene edited a little differently, but I'm pleased to see them actually taking advantage of an aspect of DVD technology that so many companies blow off.

For the love of all that's holy, keep Mike Quasar on the Babes Illustrated series! This is the real deal, girl/girl fans!
