Freshman Fantasies 9

Professor Mike is at it again, providing more than enough hot sex to satisfy in Freshman Fantasies 9. While I still wish the Professor would stop trying to pass off the guys like average joes (come on, we all know that Vince Voyeur doesn't moonlight as a hotel waiter!), this edition's selection of women is quite sizzling, and most fans of the series will want to pick up this volume as there is something for everyone here.

The first fantasy starts out with Melanie Stone in the back of the car. Professor Mike is interviewing her, and while they are talking a hot blonde passes by in a red truck and flashes Melanie. We will learn later in the DVD that it is Taylor Moore in the truck (in case you can't figure out who it is immediately), and what I thought was actually one of those random occurrences that happens when you pull out a video camera turns out to be a clever set-up by the director. Oh well, it's not like I've ever seen anyone flash me while I was driving down the highway!

Melanie's fantasy is to be fucked in an office building near the window, so anyone driving by can watch. The Professor takes her to Alec Metro's office and the two go at it shortly thereafter. Melanie truly gets into her scene, and she's pretty hot to watch. She makes Alec cum on the window, and then she takes a big lick of his cum off the window pane...gee, I hope they've clean those recently...no telling what else she was licking off of there! Anyway, it's a pretty good start as far as sex goes for this Freshman Fantasies edition.

Next up is Stevie, a really cute blonde who looks familiar, but I can't quite place if or where I've seen her before. She wants to try anal, supposedly for the very first time, and Alex Sanders is the lucky guy who gets to make the trial run into cute Stevie's ass. Before Alex comes in, though, be sure to catch the short cameo by porn star Inari Vachs, who doesn't see any action with Stevie, but does spit on her clit a few times before she leaves. One of the nice things about Stevie is that she doesn't seem to fake any of the sex...she's obviously enjoying Alex, but she's not extremely vocal about it...just a lot of purring and light moaning, which is a nice change of pace to most of the "screaming" that goes on from other porn scene participants.

Sheena shows up for a lesbian scene, which I initially thought was going to be rather dull. I didn't find Sheena particularly attractive, but once I saw that she was going to be making out with Coral Sands, my attention suddenly returned to the segment. Coral is extremely hot, and she certainly teaches Sheena all the ins and outs (pun intended) of lesbian loving. Coral even gets to use (albeit all too shortly) a strap-on in their girl-girl tryst.

The next to last scene is between Charlese LaMour and Vince Voyeur, which was my least favorite in the movie. This is possibly because there is not much to Charlese's fantasy, other than the fact that she wants to do it with a stranger. The scene does have a nice ending, as Vince cums on a table and Charlese licks it up.

Finally, we get one of the sexiest young women in porn, Taylor Moore. A few weeks ago, I was impressed by Taylor's performance in Tom Byron's Whack Attack, and once again, Taylor instantly turned me on. There's just something about this girl that oozes sex, and we see how seductive she can be as she seduces the cameraman, who we later find out is Alex Sanders.

Despite being a solid edition to the Freshman Fantasies series, and having better than average video and audio for a gonzo (hand-held camera) production, this DVD really loses points in the features department as what we believe might be a separate photo gallery and slide show actually turn out to be manual and automated versions of the exact same pictures! Considering that most of these Freshman Fantasies girls actually go on to become stars in the adult industry and the fact that they often change their stage names, Digital Playground should take the time to provide a bio section for these girls, let us know if this was their first appearance in porn or not, and provide us with other titles we can catch them in, assuming they have gone on to do more work (most of the girls in this edition have). However, that being said, this is one of the better of the nine editions of Freshman Fantasies that have been released on DVD, and worth picking up, especially if you are a fan of this series.

FRESHMAN FANTASIES #9, a 1998 release from Digital Playground and directed by the endlessly chatty "Professor Mike," is a perfect example of how simply being able to buy a video camera and Sony home video editor at the local Circuit City doesn't automatically give someone the credentials or talent to direct porn. While not as hateful as some of the visual bile that spews forth from the camera lens of Ed Powers (who has the unfortunate penchant for starring himself and his stomach churning physique in his films), Prof. Mike certainly adds nothing to the genre either. Although he has the good sense to hire others to appear in this "film," Prof. Mike's use of a single camera, lots of homegrown FX (e.g., dissolves, strobing, etc.) and incessant amount of off-camera yakking makes for one annoying, flaccid experience.

FRESHMAN FANTASIES 9, which stars some recognizable and new faces, stumbles as it vaguely tries to follow in the footsteps of such porno mainstays as the successful UP AND CUMMERS series from Randy West and Hustler's BARELY LEGAL series (which almost never disappoint). This film doesn't succeed as either gonzo (which it really isn't) or scripted (which it really isn't either). FRESHMAN FANTASIES, includes five scenes wherein the "Professor" helps the ladies live out their sexual "fantasies." Unfortunately, the ladies aren't very imaginative ("Fantasy Island"-type fantasies these ain't - I guess the budget only allowed for fantasies which could be fulfilled in a $55 hotel room) and each scene includes a lot of inane conversation with the faceless "Professor."

In the opening scene, Melanie Stone has an exhibitionist fantasy to get fucked in front of a window and Alec Metro obliges. Prof. Mike escorts Melanie up to an office where she and Alec go through the motions including BJ, oral, finger, missionary and doggy, occasionally in front of a large window. Mike occasionally cuts to a view of the action from across the street where, if you look real hard, you can make out something happening. Alec shoots his load of human Windex on the plate glass and Melanie licks it clean. While Melanie is cute enough, this scene, like most of the others here, is rather routine and uninspired. Moreover, Mike's frenetic camera work started to give me a migraine after a while.

However, the prize for the most disappointing scene goes to Stevie and Alex Sanders. Stevie, a young, blonde porn newcomer (I am assuming), with a southern accent, has a fantasy to get fucked in the ass (boy, is she in the right business). After some preliminaries, Alex lubes up and fills Stevie's pipe before leaving a creamy deposit in her cornchute. However, Stevie's complete and utter silence and lack of motion throughout the entire scene (strange for someone allegedly getting ass-fucked for the first time) made me wonder if Alex shouldn't have checked her pulse at some point. (I literally thought my TV was accidentally on "mute" during this scene.)

In a lengthy, generally watchable scene, Coral Sands helps Sheena (also billed as "Jamie" on the DVD case), a gangly redhead, fulfill her lesbian fantasies including lots of oral, butt toys and strap-ons and Vince Voyeur aids Erin with her fantasy of banging a hotel room service bellboy (what did I say about these uninspired, so-called "fantasies"?) Vince gives Erin a good pounding and has her lick his splooge off a glass table. Finally, Alex Sanders returns to give it to the horny Taylor Moore, the most expressive girl in the film.

All in all, this flick is a highly mediocre collection of routine scenes starring so-so female porn talent, obnoxious camerawork and excessive, insipid off-camera chatter. My advice is to send Professor Mike back to community college for "Porn Direction 101" and get yourself any one (or more) of the other much better DVD's of the genre that are out there.
