Straight Gonzo Sex With Little In the Way Of "Fluff" In Jack's 23
It's a good news/bad news situation with Jack's Playground 23, and viewers reaction to it is going to fall on one side of the fence or the other, depending on what you enjoy tuning in to this series to see.
The "good news" is the fact that the solo masturbation scenes have been excised from this volume of Jack's Playground. The "bad news" is that they haven't been replaced with anything. The majority of previous Jack's titles have generally contained five hardcore scenes and two scenes of solo girl masturbation. This time around, viewers only get five scenes - but all of them contain boy/girl action.
And depending on whether you enjoyed the frequent humor of previous volumes or not, most of the humorous bits have been removed from this volume - aside from a few "skits" that happen in between the sex scenes that include a couple jokes geared toward Digital Playground's Virtual Sex DVDs, and a "commercial" for "Jack's Learning To Speak English" video (no, it's not a real video!). And alas, that ever-popular "Montel" (the black talking dildo) only makes a semi-cameo in this volume...giving us the voice-overs for the "Jack Recap" at the beginning and the preview of Jack's Playground 24 at the end.
As for the sex itself, well it's just as good as any previous Jack's volume, and includes a movie-ending scene between Venus and Pascal St. James that I believe ranks as one of the better couplings in all of the Jack's titles, despite the fact that the cumshot climax isn't that spectacular because Venus basically jerks Pascal off onto himself.
The other four scenes consist of cute redhead Smokie Flame getting it on with Tony T. (this scene does end with a spectacular pop-shot...right into Smokie's mouth!); a pairing between Naudia Nyce and Pascal (that includes anal penetration); Montana Rae making out with Tommy Gunn; and a scene where Joey Ray gives Jenaveve Jolie a "birthday present" by stripping for her and then fucking her hard on a couch.
As always, both the video and audio quality of this Digital Playground release are top-notch, with the video transferred into anamorphic widescreen and the audio presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital. Extras include a chapter selection; photo gallery; trailers (including one for Jack's 23) and contact information.
So if you're looking for a straight gonzo movie without a lot of fuss and fluff between the sexual action, you should enjoy watching Jack's Playground 23. However, if you've been following this series mainly because of its goofy sense of humor, "Montel" appearances, and the way it's not afraid to make fun of the performers that are being filmed, you might want to hold out and see what Robby D. has in store for us in Jack's Playground 24.
