Trophy Whores

The sweet, sweet eye-candy gracing the cover of TROPHY WHORES - especially in the fine form of dark-haired and leggy Alectra Blue - is a relief to this reviewer's tired, bloodshot eyes, especially after viewing so many not-easy-on-the-eyes, barely legal performers who populate every other DVD release. Director Johnni Darkko focuses less on the sexual acrobatics (though they are definitely there) and more on the stylized visuals which make the scenes less raw, yet every bit as intense as anything produced by the gonzo kings. Each scene is introduced with some glamour shots of each girl, showing off their figures as if on a model shoot and just generally looking damn fuckable. It's more than enough to get my engine started. To quote Lex Luthor, "What more could anyone ask?"

Kicking off this disc is a no-nonsense, but undoubtedly arousing straight scene featuring Alectra Blue (spelled with an "x" on the front cover) and Mark Ashley. They go through the time-tested positions, including cowgirl and missionary, on a bed without a hitch. Despite all the physical action, Miss Blue maintains her good, well-groomed looks even up to the facial finale. Fans of anal should look elsewhere for their backdoor fix - skip directly to Courtney Cummz and Nadia Styles scenes, if you must. That nothing too wild or anatomically daring happens in this opener might make it a bit too conventional for most raincoaters. However, Alectra is a looker, and that's good enough for me.

Another brunette in the form of Jamie Huxley squeezes her petite form in between Mark Wood (or Mr. Francesca Le, as I enviously call him...not to his face, of course) and Jenner for a slightly more energetic, but not too different, indoor workout. Whenever Miss Huxley looks deep into the lens of the camera, I completely forget the fact that there is no double penetration or anal work to be found. As with the better pornographers, Mr. Darkko control over his performers make this scene seem nastier that what's actually onscreen.

Dirty blonde Courtney Simpson makes this flick even dirtier when she is called upon to service the two Marks, namely Mr. Wood and Mr. Ashley (him again?) Miss Simpson has already proven her worth thanks to her notable scenes in flicks like CUM BEGGARS 3 (which, coincidentally also features Alectra Blue) and MOUTH 2 MOUTH #3, so I expected exquisite lewdness in her threesome. As it turns out her scene was also anal-less, but filled with energy and some well-shot climaxes.

Rising starlet Courtney Cummz, predictably, is a standout in her all-out anal encounter with Jenner. Despite her oversized tattoo, Courtney proves herself in scene after scene that she is one of the better talents to emerge in 2005. Her passion for her partner, and her orgasmic expressions are convincingly displayed, making hers the lewdest scene in this video.

Wrapping up TROPHY WHORES is Nadia Styles (who also appears in the "bonus" scene where her oral expertise is put to the test by Mark Ashley [yes, him again!], Will Powers and Billy Glide), who is paired up Mr. Glide. This dark-haired babe has a special charisma which makes her blowjobs and cock-riding feel heated and intense, which is why I'm glad we get to see more of among the DVD's extras. She sucks Billy's dick with a lustful intensity, but the use of toys in her twat and butt don't really interest me very much (why not throw in an extra guy if she really needs the additional penetration?). Her dirty talk is convincing, and the facial final is satisfying, but not exceptional. However, since we get more of Miss Styles in the DVD extras, one can hardly complain about her work here.

Other bonuses on this good looking and good sounding disc include a photo gallery, filmography of the actresses (limited, of course, to their Evil Angel appearances), a solo scene with Miss Simpson and some very brief interviews. Though I found nothing remarkable about the hardcore, I'm pleased to see that someone, somewhere cares about how good the sex looks as well as how it's conducted. TROPHY WHORES wins a "Solid Recommendation" award from this reviewer.
