Not enough magic in this DVD
Three witches sitting in a tree, K-I- double S, I-N-G. This pretty much sums up this DVD. Two youthful witches dabble with magic spells and conjure up some interesting phenomena. Very predictable, though. For example, one witch conjures a man to clean up the room before her sister gets home - before you know it he is cleaning out her insides with his large feather duster. There is, however, a funny scene with Kylie Ireland and a man whom she accidentally conjures up. She put a love spell on him and he crashes his car and desperately tries to find his love. When the two meet it is quite humorous.
The best acting scenes go to Tina Tyler and Julian who really I have come to admire through the films I have seen. The flirtatious scene towards the end of the movie between the two is reminiscent of love with the two sharing past affections for each other. The dialogue does not seem to be cheesy in this scene and saves the film from being downright clichéd. The sex in this scene is pretty much standard fare but is good for a mild-hardcore rating.
I must say though that Chloe is a terrific actor when not in a sex scene, with the seductive husky voice, but I'm afraid the constant lesbian scenes I see her in really don't suit her. She turns into a wild animal and, from some angles, even looks like a man, which is not really appealing to the viewer. Plus the use of plastic toys is for a select portion of the community.
The DVD itself is quite good quality. The sound is clear and crisp, the picture reasonably good and the extras are the standard VCA bunch: 3 previews, internet links, chapter selection, interactive menus (I love these) and cast bios. Misspelled isn't a great movie but isn't that bad. Julian, Tina Tyler and Kylie Ireland stand out and I would like to see their talents exposed further in the future.
MisSpelled
This Kylie/Chloe vehicle got a "three" rating for material in December, but the razor-sharp DVD transfer earns it an extra point on the quality ratings here. Extras are enhanced by a menu that offers the chance to zero in on the scenes featuring your female performer of choice, and especially for the duplication of the entire program on both sides of the disc. Also, there's a picture gallery and portrailts of the female stars, but that's pretty standard.
Spooked
This movie is decent. Kylie's scenes are good, but the other girls are nothing special. Overall, just not enough action.
