Domination

A neglected wife longs for her husband's appreciation and acceptance. He is overbearing, ignorant of all except his own need, and a downright tight-ass. The effort she puts forth to please him is, unfortunately, very futile, so the gorgeous young woman continues to play the role of "doormat", but just for the moment. The tables soon turn as the inner desires are compounded by inner voices speaking powerful advice. The mouse becomes lioness. This is Domination!

Just to clarify the content though, Domination is not a hardcore fetish enthusiasts dream come true. This feature simply employs a light take on the genre with the sensibility of couples who want to try something new. Maybe a little bondage, possibly a hint of S/M, but never was Domination intended to be anything more than it was -- a couples flick with a plot that involves spicing up a humdrum sex life.

Chasey Lain plays out the role of sub-turned-dom with success, but her sex scenes don't generate the kind of heat one might expect. Relating directly to this, and only as a matter of personal opinion, as beautiful and photogenic as she is, I've never been thoroughly convinced that Ms. Lain truly "enjoyed" her work. Her couplings in Domination, as in many of the films she's performed in that I've viewed, demonstrate how good she really does look, but rarely does her body language exhibit a genuine fiery appetite. Again, this is merely a subjective notation from one reviewer's observances only.

Being that she does look so damn delicious, Domination indeed reflects that the presence of true beauty in one character can hold one's attention beyond just the sex, allowing the story to develop. Unfolding similar to the drama of a soap opera, Chasey's opening sequence divulges her strategy to surprise and elate uptight hubby Nick East. She's gone out shopping to purchase some intimate apparel and a couple accessories. A bad marriage is a bad marriage period though, and Chasey is verbally blasted for shopping in and of itself. But when Nick sees what exactly she's brought home, he is furious and thereby fires off accusations of her infidelity. Adding insult to injury, he demands she suck his dick like a whore. Of course, always the giving type, she obeys the oral command, then jerks him to orgasmic finish.

Following this typical episode of total disregard and abuse, Chasey outwardly tells herself she leaving the situation. Anger and sadness promote an inner voice to speak up and this voice speaks loudly. She is not to leave just yet, rather make a metamorphosis from Chasey White to Chasey Black. Our protagonist heeds the message, but resolves to test the theory out on first husband Alex Sanders. A surprise phone call disrupts Alex and girlfriend Vanessa Chase's living room shenanigans. Chasey's insistent voice commands Alex to do a number of things to his guest that she assumes is present there: tie her up, pull her hair and fuck her repeatedly. Alex's response is expectedly a bit confused, but we can tell that his ex-wife does indeed call him from time to time -- she's never sounded like this though! Vanessa's annoyance with the telephone intrusion quickly dissipates as she agrees to a heavy ass-reaming experience.

As Chasey's will battles for dominance over the voices, she teeters on the edge of reality and the completely illogical. From one moment to the next, her persona is never quite stable. In an intimate conversation with gal pal Alex Jordan, the scene turns into a bossy lesbian bathtub tryst. In the meantime, husband-for-the-moment Nick subjects himself quite ironically, but not so atypical of a power-hungry type, to dominatrix Barbara Doll.

In a determined move, Chasey returns home to play out her new state of being on the man who single-handedly made her snap. Nick's tone is all but complete disgust when his estranged wife demands he "crawl to her". He inquires as to where the "old Chasey" has gone, and her response is, "domestic Chasey is dead." Nick exits, leaving her to contemplate the decision further. A woman scorned never looks back, therefore she decides to embrace the new Chasey with open arms. Closing the film, and for the purpose of verifying her descent into "darkness", Chasey rises above two worshipping bodies writhing below her.

Of the five sex scenes, Chasey appears in three. Overall, the hottest scenarios are the Sanders/Chase combination and, to a lesser degree, Chasey's girl on girl pairing. This brings up another point regarding Chasey Lain's on-screen sizzle -- she was more apt to, and genuine in, steamy girl/girl action. I think scenes as such show her full capacity to perform compelling sexuality. Although not a superbly sizzling feature, Domination most certainly presents some issues that couples may endure: sexual fizzle, monotony, and casual disregard for a partner's needs.

Chasey has been off the porn circuit for some time now; the film is obviously a few years old. However, the digital transfer of Domination is quite good. Viewers can expect an aesthetically pleasing menu, good sound and clear video. The design also offers a bevy of interactive options which include: bios, scene breakdowns with voice-over descriptions, bloopers, star galleries (similar to bio section), and some goodies unrelated to the film -- casino and Wicked promo materials.
