Red Dragon

Brad Armstrong shows his flair as a director in Red Dragon, a feature that gives almost all its sex scenes a visual style worthy of the latest video on MTV. The movie stars Stephanie Swift as a former massage girl (and we all know what that implies, don't we?!) who is called back into "service" by Asia Carrera, her friend who runs the business.

The film starts off with Asia taking care of one of her clients, played by Joel Lawrence. She warms him up with a nice blowjob and Joel returns the favor with some oral and finger action. Penetration takes place in both the reverse cowgirl and missionary positions, but the real treat is the fact that Asia accepts a facial cumshot from Joel - one of the few facials I have seen Asia take in the past several years.

Next up is a coupling between Miko Lee and Billy Glide which takes place on a circular bed. This is the first scene in the movie that has a real "music video" style to it, and that trend continues with the remainder of the scenes in the film.

Perhaps the best scene in the movie is Stephanie's first - where she gets pounded on a motorcycle by Mark Davis. Mark lays her back on the bike and starts pounding away missionary style and then gives her some standing doggy before cumming all over her face.

Red Dragon has its share of hot lesbian action, as well. Charmane and Stephanie Swift team up for some toy sharing, which includes Steph being double penetrated by a bright, shiny silver set of nunchucks. Later in the scene, they share the ends of a larger set, getting off with each end as they look into each other's eyes.

Perhaps the weakest scene in the film (from an action standpoint, not a directorial one) is when fellow Wicked director Jonathan Morgan gets some massage therapy from Kianna. Kianna looks great in this scene, but it's lacking some heat - and the cumshot consists of her giving Jon a handjob - with most of the cum winding up on her hands rather than her face, which of course is where we want to see it!

The next to last scene is a nice blowjob-only segment where Stephanie gets a pair of huge facials from Chris Cannon and Christopher LaFleur. It was hard to tell which of the two guys gave her the second facial, but it's one worth watching, as Stephanie really gets doused in goo - dripping down off her mouth and chin!

For the final scene, Brad Armstrong decides he's going to get in on the action (the behind the scenes segment reveals that the actor assigned for that day's shooting didn't show up) and he has a great foursome with Asia, Steph and Kianna. One of the interesting things is that the movie switches from full-frame to letterbox format for this final scene - a momentary distraction for the viewer, but one that makes the final segment all the more entertaining to watch.

As always, there are a number of cool bonus features on this DVD, including a commentary track with Brad and Stephanine; a behind the scenes segment, interviews with some of the cast, a look at the box cover shoot, and lots more - including a few Easter Eggs hidden on the DVD! The audio is top-notch, but the video does suffer just a tad, with a little pixilation showing up here and there. I think one of the problems with the video is that most of the movie's scenes have a lot of red in them, a color that always seems to cause problems in the digital format, unless the transfer is flawless.

If you're a fan of Armstrong's previous films and dig watching a lot of Asian chicks in action (although I'm not sure Stephanie has an Asian background, although she certainly has an Eastern look to her), you're sure to enjoy Red Dragon. It's yet another winning title from Wicked Pictures.
