Private Life of Ellen Saint, The

It's been awhile since I've had the chance to review a Private DVD (despite petitioning my Editorial Director for the opportunity). And after viewing THE PRIVATE LIFE OF ELLEN SAINT, I can only state that I miss these flicks dearly. Quite simply, you cannot go wrong with any Private title. Not only are the women flat-out gorgeous, the sex scenes beautifully directed and shot, and the production of high quality all around, but you certainly get a lot of sex for the money as this two disc compilation proves.

At first glance, Ellen Saint appears just to be another pretty blonde with a hot body and ravenous sexual appetite, which is rare in the real world but plentiful in porn. However, Miss Saint also has a fresh, classy look which shows off her distinctively European characteristics. That's not to say that American actresses can't look as great, but most Private women are usually free from that all-too familiar "skank" factor. In any event, Ellen is interviewed and seen in between what appears to be full-length excerpts from her various movies. (Some of the scenes do appear to be truncated, but I can't verify that without comparing them to the original titles.) She looks relaxed and playful, and seems to enjoy talking about her work. While I don't find her sensational looks as personally striking as a Taylor Rain or Briana Banks or Paola Rey or Stormy Daniels (just to name three of my favorite beauties), there's no doubt that the camera is simply in lust with Ellen, and apparently, so are her onscreen partners.

Disc 1 pairs our beautiful blonde with Francesco Malcom in a scene from DREAM GIRLS IN ST. MARTIN. Then, Ellen joins Sandy Style and Max Cortes in a threesome also from DREAM GIRLS. Jessica May and once again Max Cortes share a scene with Miss Saint from MILLIONAIRE. Ellen becomes the center of a mini-gangbang with Franco Trentalance, Gabirel Montoya and George Uhl from HOUSE OF THE SHE-WOLVES, followed by three-guy/two-girl affair with Kathy Anderson, George Rena, Rudy and Wein Lewis from Chain Reaction. Anastasia Christ, Ellen Saint, Kathy Anderson and Nikki Sun (and Ellen) share some fun in the great outdoors during a hot scene from ANGELS OF SIN, and then the sex gets back to "normal" when Max Cortes gets to tag Ellen for a third time in INSIDE SEX SEX INSIDE. . My only complaint was that the cum-swapping scene shown at the end of CHAIN REACTION seems to be cut prematurely: just as Ellen drops a huge gob of goo on Kathy's tongue, the footage maddeningly fades to black and we're back to Ellen being interviewed about the next scene. Naturally, a viewer like me is "" to check out the original film to see if there's more nastiness to be found.

Disc 2 is notable for its "Exclusive Scene" which is a threesome with Toni Ribas and Andrea Moranti shot indoors in some luxury penthouse. Ellen shows off her sensational form wearing a black outfit with black fishnet pants in front of a large window overlooking Barcelona, Spain, then the guys interrupt her for some immediate fucking and sucking. They retreat to a couch for some anal sex and double penetration, and in terms of sheer physical conduct and hardcore action, it's gonzo quality all the way through. Both guys cum on her lovely face, and she apparently swallows some of the end product.

Other scenes from Disc 2 include a trio with Remigia Zampa and Jean Pallet taken from PRIVATE CHATEAU 3. Vanessa and David Perry join Ellen in HUNGRY ASSES, Kathy Anderson and Gabriel Montoya join her in a segment from VICE FOR VICE, and finally another excellent ménage a trois with Stacy Silver and Frank Thring again from VICE FOR VICE. Of all the vignettes on the second disc, I really could have done without the one from PRIVATE CHATEAU 3 since for the majority of the time, we are "treated" to the sight of the elderly Jean Pallet masturbating as Mr. Zampa fucks her. The lesbian preliminaries from HUNGRY ASSES is as good as what you get in most gonzo videos, and brunette Kathy Anderson is quite a looker.

As expected, video quality is top-notch. I've seen some so-called high definition transfers which don't come close to looking as clean and as professional as what is seen on these two DVDs. Audio quality is also good, with a surprising minimum of dubbing. The interviews are conducted in English, and so are apparently much of original productions. (Incidentally, I've rarely seen local women as articulate and as unpretentious as their European counterparts during these "behind the scenes" interviews, which probably doesn't matter to the average smut viewer but aficionados like me appreciate the difference.)

Despite my preference for American brunettes and my avoidance of compilation titles, I have to say that THE PRIVATE LIFE OF ELLEN SAINT is already at the top of my list for repeat viewing. This is yet another great set of DVDs from one of the best producers of adult material in the world.
