Things Change Letting Go

This is a good porn movie and worth owning, especially if the viewer particularly enjoys lesbian sex and/or is a fan of Deidre Holland. Holland is a hottie whose unadorned, natural body and Down-Under accent always made her stand out. Here, she gives her usual enthusiastic but not over-the-top performance to great effect.

A typical Paul Thomas movie in many respects -- shot on film, good lighting, actual production values, decent dialogue and plot line -- THINGS CHANGE: LETTING GO is especially of interest to those who enjoy lesbian sex. The first action scene involves lesbian bathroom sex, there's a fantastic middle scene with 2-girls-1-guy (Holland with her husband, Jon Dough, and a blonde with a terrible perm), and the last scene is between Nikki Dial and Holland and involves spanking. (If you like Dial, you'll like this movie.)

The only negatives, and they are , are: the extras aren't much, the sound is not great, and it's on the short side.

This is definitely a hardcore porn movie, but it's a tasteful one, if such a thing is possible, and it's done with attention and quality. Again, lesbian-sex lovers and fans of Deidre Holland, you should check it out.

I have to agree with the previous comments: the sound in this DVD is bad. The background music swamps the dialogue at least half of the time. That being said, this a good movie. Dierdre Holland as a dominant dyke puts in a great performance. Her scene with Francesca Le in the bathroom of a lesbian bar rivals the Jenna Jameson/Brittany Andrews scene in "Flashpoint." Holland actually acts like someone who has lost a lover and is desperate to get her back. And, of course, Nikki Dial steals the show whenever she is on screen.

Overall, this is a good flick with gorgeous women and hot, steamy sex.

The real treat of this film is seeing people we don't
often see andymore, if at all. I say Nikki, Nikki,
Nikki, but the star of this film is really Diedre
Holland, who makes an excellent dominant lesbian.
We see her in action with three different girls,
including Nikki. The scene on the boat with Nikki
and Steve Drake is great stuff. We also get to see
the wonderful Kim Wylde, who is almost never seen
outside of her fetish series for redboard video.

The video transfer was perfect. Hitting pause on
your DVD makes a perfect picture every time, which
is how you tell a good quality DVD. Unfortunately
there is the sound, which is simply execrable (look
that up in your Funk & Wagnells). Dialogue is barely
audible at high volume, which then makes the music
unbearably loud. It ain't the fault of the DVD transfer,
because the sound is terrible on all Paul Thomas videos
and DVDs. It ain't the studio's fault either. This is a
1993 Metro release but Thomas' Vivid stuff has terrible
sound too. Won't somebody please teach Paul Thomas
how to record and mix sound for film and video?

Bottom Line: If you like gorgeous girls having kinky
lesbian sex, and you don't mind that you can't hear the
dialogue, this disc is for you, Bud.

Excellent ensemble acting, top-notch production and a first-rate love story distinguish director Paul Thomas' 1993 film feature THINGS CHANGE: LETTING GO, the sequel to THINGS CHANGE: MY FIRST TIME. Here, Nikki Dial explores her burgeoning bisexually with the likes of Diedre Holland, Kym Wilde, Steve Drake and Jon Dough. Few adult features shot in the 90's are as well-crafted and satisfying.

As we've come to expect from Metro, this DVD incluces a handful of chapter stops (with a full-motion menu), a slide show, brief bios of their cast, all-region coding, copy protection, and previews of other Metro DVDs (found on side B).
