Only The Best of Seymore Butts 1

Being the overzealous, geek-boy collector that I am, compilation videos have never been at the top of my porn shopping list. I would much rather have fuck and suck scenes kept intact in their original context then chopped up and then pounded together like so much video hamburger. In the case of Seymore Butts titles, the audience is always on a roaming adventure with director Adam Glasser, and part of the fun is watching the admittedly contrived sexual encounters take place "spontaneously." Pulling apart these segments in a "greatest hits" collection isn't what I care to see.

ONLY THE BEST OF SEYMORE BUTTS really does nothing to change my mind. Since I'm already a longtime fan of the director's work, my own DVD collection already includes seventy-five percent of the material compiled here. However, the video and audio quality is excellent, and the scenes with Vanessa Chase appear to be crisper and brighter than the original DVD (SEYMORE AND SHANE: PLAYING WITH FIRE (issued by New Machine). Some of the video is afflicted by the occasional scratch and glitch - no doubt from the original video source - but the digital remastering is first rate, and hardcore fans might appreciate the upgrade. Though we get plenty of well-selected chapter stops, with clear credits for each individual scene including the performers and the original video source, bonus materials are limited to studio website promotions and trailers.

Shay Sweet, Katie Gold, Victoria Gold and Alyssa Love come together, right now, over Peter North in wild orgy from GLUTEUS TO THE MAXIMUS. Whenever Mr. North is getting sucked or fucked, the girls enjoy themselves with some hearty cunnilingus work and plenty of dildo action. Speaking of Miss Hayes, she appears next with Victoria Gold in an excerpt from SQUIRTERS. As if the deep, wet kissing with Miss Gold wasn't enough, Taylor moans so heatedly that almost no visuals are needed to get the viewer off. The director assists in helping Miss Hayes "squirt" all over Victoria's chest by fingering her butt hole until she releases a torrent of love juice. Though it's definitely a hot scene, there isn't nearly enough foreplay going on to make it classic, and Victoria's performance is clearly overshadowed by her dark-haired partner. Still, and until SQUIRTERS is released on DVD, I would want this disc just for her scene alone.

Vanessa Chase appears courtesy of the aforementioned semi-classic SEYMORE AND SHANE: PLAYING WITH FIRE. Her anal pairing with Mr. Butts is as straightforward as it gets, but Miss Chase is such a magnetic cock sucker and overall sensuous performer that she deserves to placed among Seymore Butts' best. Viewers who agree with me will also want to check out SEYMORE AND SHANE DO IRELAND (from New Machine) to see her re-match with the director where she eats him up and swallows his jizz.

For the conclusion, we get yet another orgy featuring Wendy Knight, Tom Byron and Lea Stevenson derived from SEYMORE BUTTS DOES EUROPE PART 1, but takes place in the United States. Though Wendy looks great as always, the braces on young Miss Stevenson are somewhat distracting. Thankfully, the metal does no apparent harm to Mr. Byron as she deep throats him. Both girls get reamed and share a cum-facial up until the fade to black, in which case the remaining ten minutes of the two hour flick is filled with a two minute preview scenes from TUSHY HEAVEN. Given the available time, it would have been nice for Seymore to throw in another quick bonus scene to fill out the disc, but the four vignettes we do get are fairly satisfying.
