Girls Will Be Girls 4

GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS #4 happens to be the first all-girl title I've ever reviewed on Blu-ray, and the first time I've seen any edition of this series in general. Directed with creative restraint by Sid Knox, GWBW is a straightforward assembly of female pairings with no specific theme or premise in mind. Surprisingly, the video works extremely well, thanks to the talented and very attractive cast who genuinely seem to enjoy each others company.

Truth be told, I lean towards the softer, kinder and gentler side of lesbian lust as demonstrated in Viv Thomas flicks and Andrew Blake films. Belladonna-esque freak shows are good for a long look or two, but clearly aren't my thing. On the other hand, formulaic titles like the long-running WHERE THE BOYS AREN'T from Vivid can run hot and cold depending on the cast. In GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS, there is just enough sensuality to arouse my interest, and enough hardcore action to keep the fascination going.

The first scene begins with a medium shot of Georgia Jones, who silently leans in for a kiss from Celeste Star. She responds, and the camera pulls back, and allowing the viewer to get a good look at their hot, bikini-clad bodies, as they fondle and strip each other. The music-less setting, and the straightforward videography allow us to enjoy the girls without distractions, and it becomes clear that we're treated to a solid, well-executed lesbian scene which serves as a model for the remainder of the movie. I first got my taste of Miss Star (not literally, unfortunately) after seeing her in several Suze Randall productions. It's good to see her in action in something a bit more gonzo-based, and Miss Jones is a good, though not exceptional, match. Memorable moments include Celeste lapping at Jones's clit while thumb-fucking her. Of course, toys eventually find their way into this scene (and in every scene) with Celeste getting penetrated by a purple dildo, and Georgia getting internally massaged by a blue one. Aside from the eye-candy, this vignette works especially well due to all the kissing, which is not as extensive as what you find in Viv Thomas flicks, but miles ahead of the lizard-tonguing found everywhere else.

By contrast, Jenaveve Jolie and Sophie Santi skip right over the foreplay so that they can get their hands and mouths working down on the nether-regions as soon as possible. Also, the girls break out their dildos much earlier, and spend the remainder of their time together simply filling holes. While kissing is kept to a minimum, positions are slightly more novel, particularly when Jenaveve straddles Sophie's butt and strategically places a blue dildo deep inside.

Much more appealing to me was the affair between Mia Presley and Faye Reagan. Mia is wearing beige lingerie, and red-head and freckled Faye is appropriately adorned in pink. Cuddling together closely, the girls make quite a sight, and I appreciated little touches like Mia keeping her high heels on during the show. They engage in prolonged pussy-rubbing, tit-licking and their application of toys is slower and more teasing. Besides legends of the past like Cameo and Teri Diver, "ginger" girls (as Eric Cartman might say) in adult are unfortunately rare, so it's good to see someone all natural as Miss Reagan sharing her sexual talents.

Devi Emmerson and Nicole Ray show up next. We're first introduced to the very cute, raven-haired Devi in a bikini and sitting on a bed. She shows off her near-perfect breasts for the camera, then reaches down for a good luck at her pussy. Lying back, she masturbates for awhile until Nicole climbs on the bed and joins the fun. This scene is notable for a lengthy sixty-nine session, followed by an energetic pussy slam, where both bodies are in full view the majority of the time. Devi is apparently new to the world of smut, but she has the looks and talent to make it big.

Finally, GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS #4 concludes with the always awesome Kristina Rose sharing quality time with Roxy DeVille. Both are color-matched in pink and black, and seem to share a natural affection for one another. Their lip-locking is nice, but a bit too quick to really make an impression. What is convincing, however, is Roxy's apparent enjoyment of the whole situation. She giggles orgasmically after using a dildo on herself, and pauses during the action while Kristina watches her reaction with excitement. The scene then transitions to Miss Rose inserting a clear, ribbed butt-plug deep into Miss DeVille's backdoor as she lies back with her legs spread-eagled. This is the first and only anal sex scene in this flick, but it's worth the wait. After awhile, Kristina allows Roxy to self-administer the device, while she uses a toy of her own (which looks like some sort of curved coat hook). Following a few screams of ecstasy, the girls wind down with a kiss and the screen fades to black for the credit roll.

Diabolic Video has always excelled in producing DVDs with top quality digital transfers. Though GWBG #4 doesn't stun the visual senses, the picture still looks great and it's a joy to see babes like Celeste Star and Faye in high definition (though, as always, the video can be merciless in exposing flaws and details with the human face and figure). The audio is good in its 2.0 form, though some girls are harder to hear than others. (I had to turn down the volume once Roxy let loose.) The only disappointing element is the bonus features, which include a "pretty good" slideshow which runs for about three minutes, and a Behind The Scenes segment which doesn't run that much longer. I would have loved to hear interviews with the girls, especially Miss Emmerson and Miss Reagan, but all we get is a few seconds of photo shoots, and Roxy with a diamond lodged in her butt.

Still, I watch Blu-rays for the main feature, and not for the extras. With that in mind, I have no reservation about giving GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS #4 a top-notch score and a high recommendation.
