Swimsuit Calendar Girls 2

I knew I was going to enjoy SWIMSUIT CALENDAR GIRLS VOL. 2 even before giving this Blu-ray disc a spin. First of all, blonde and busty Shyla Stylez adorns the cover, assuming a standard "come hither" pose while her skimpy pink bikini hangs on to her curves for dear life. The simplicity of the design (no hardcore shots, no exclamatory blurbs, and no crappy photoshopping) makes it attractive enough to stand out amongst the crowd of pornos vying for your attention.

Secondly, Director William H. has helmed with some of the best adult flicks I've seen in the last couple of years, including PERFORMERS OF THE YEAR 2009, ALEXIS TEXAS IS BUTTWOMAN, CELEBUSLUTS and BRIANA LOVE IS BUTTWOMAN. His sex scenes are filled with plenty of introductory tease leading into straightforward but very athletic hardcore. His visual style is clean and uncluttered, with videography that captures all the action at just the right angles and without any superfluous visual effects.

I'm happier than Jenna Haze's gynecologist to report that SWIMSUIT CALENDAR GIRLS meets every expectation I have of Elegant Angel and the director. As the title suggests in no uncertain terms, this flick showcases five hotties showing off their obvious physical talents on the beach, or else by a pool on a sprawling estate. Clad in swimwear which might otherwise have been outlawed years ago, they strut, pout, and put it out in public for a few steamy minutes while we watch and wait anxiously. Eventually, the girls retreat indoors to show their assigned male partners that all the teasing and flirting does lead into something bigger and better, and all the we have to do is sit back and enjoy the show.

The first scene spotlights lovely Kristina Rose, captured on the beach where she emerges from the shores like Halle Berry from "Die Another Day" (or Ursula Andress from "Dr. No" for those of you over 40). The videography in this scene, along with the others, is excellent, and the tasteful modeling shots are a nice warm-up to the action to come. Mark Ashley is given the enviable task of getting sucked and fucked by Miss Rose, which begins with pussy eating, some rimming, and fucking for a good 15 minutes before we get to see her suck on his tool. It's a nice touch of pace, but the most satisfying moments occur when he bangs her butt, splooges in her mouth, and lets her clean him up with her tongue as she whispers to the camera, "I love to eat filthy ass cum." Ah, yes, and we love to see you do it.

The always dependable Shyla Stylez struts her self on a hilltop mansion by a pool before retreating indoors for a grand ol' time with Mick Blue. After oiling up her tits and ass, he bangs her on a red loveseat. The two share a definite chemistry together, which makes all the sexual acrobatics a sheer delight to watch and admire. Even though there's no anal play, she does take a good dose of spunk to her mouth, and sucks him off thoroughly.

Alexis Texas, one of the curviest and most popular gonzo girls to come along in quite awhile (see PERFORMERS OF THE YEAR 2009 and ALEXIS TEXAS IS BUTTWOMAN for proof positive of this girl's reputation), also poses seductively on a beach, then gets good and clean in a bubble bath before entertaining lucky bastard James Deen. He finds her standing by a closet mirror, and she fellates him while standing up and bent over with her ass push firmly against its image. They jump on a bed for more frolicking, up until the time he shoots himself all over her chest, which she tastes by licking her fingers. Those who want to see her do anal will have to revisit to her BUTTWOMAN title, though the lack of it here does nothing to diminish the heat of this scene.

Carmella Bing, in all her tall and top-heavy glory, takes a shower outside and then relaxes on a blue couch with Lee Stone, who naturally, is excited as hell to have "full anal access" (which, by the way, also happens to be the title of one of Taylor Rain's best DVDs) to this statuesque brunette. Carmella looks hot getting boinked in cowgirl and reverse-cowgirl style, prior to getting a tongue-ful of his cum which is drooled down to her tits.

The SWIMSUIT session ends with Kagney Lin Karter, a newbie blonde who that distinctive "pornstar" look based on her petite and busty figure. She shows off some hip-hop dance moves outside of a mansion, and then does the bump and grind with Mark Ashley. For the most part, the screwing is performed mainly in some cowgirl variation, which gives us an opportunity to examine every inch of her easy-on-the eyes body. Since she's a newcomer, I can excuse her obvious resistance to getting her face wet with man-goo, which ends up on her tits and chin. It's also understandable why this less than extreme scene would be tagged at the end, but I enjoyed it just the same.

SWIMSUIT CALENDAR GIRLS was the kind of video made for high definition viewing. Although the picture isn't nearly as eye-popping as some of the best mainstream Blu-rays, the sprawling outdoor scenery and heavenly bodies spread out for our enjoyment greatly benefit from the widescreen presentation. I've yet to see an Elegant Angel video which fails to meet the kind of visual quality we expect from Blu-ray. The audio, while generally fine, isn't the elaborate 5.1 mix that certain home theater fans might expect. However, unless I want to hear waves crashing behind me while Alexis is walking on the sand, I don't really see a point to surround sound for most gonzo videos.

The Behind The Scenes video is everything a featurette should be: entertaining, informative and tightly edited. Far too many of these "documentaries" are just an excuse to string along excess footage without any form or content. Here, however, we get to see an amusing blooper where Shyla Stylez takes a tumble while strutting on a deck in those towering high heels, and later, an interview with Kagney Lin Karter, who comes off as sweet and down-to-earth. But the most enjoyable moments occur during an interview with Kristina Rose, who is lying on a bed with a butt-plug lodged deep inside, along with a vibrator applied to her clit. She explains that she's preparing for her anal scene, and her easy-going approach is both titillating and humorous.

Also included is a bonus scene, starring the supremely talented Eve Angelina. I assume that her scene is taken from the first volume of SWIMSUIT CALENDAR GIRL, because it is just fantastic. Shot walking on a beach in the same manner as Kristina Rose's and Alexis Texas's scenes, she shows off her scrumptious body irresistibly, before getting anal-ized by Mark Ashley. In fact, this scene outdoes some of the moments found in the main movie (though it's presented in standard definition "full screen" for some reason). It just proves to me that William H. has a winner of a series here, all of which deserve Blu-ray treatment. If only all gonzo directors followed his methods, the world of smut would be a better and more consistent place.
