Jade Princess

Despite the always welcome presence of Asian hottie, Kobe Tai, in the main feature, it is only the bountiful extra features that make this disc a worthwhile keeper. Released by the generous, consumer-friendly folks at Vivid, JADE PRINCESS, is crammed with top-notch bonus features that more than make up for the serviceable, if highly routine, main feature. Whereas most porn DVDs offer a 60-90 main feature and a few previews and extras (e.g. "behind the scenes" - a cheap, no-brainer of feature which I frequently find boring and never spankworthy), Vivid consistently provides discs gorging with high-quality bonus scenes from its vast film library. JADE PRINCESS is no exception.

Nevertheless, the main feature is good and showcases some notable talent. JADE PRINCESS, a 2000 release of a 1998 production, features Julian, Ian Daniels, Bobby Vitale and Tony Tedeschi, as pals who go out for some Chinese food before heading off to Ian's bachelor party. Kobe Tai plays the seductive waitress who gives the fellows some highly accurate fortune cookies and casts a spell on Bobby (who can't stop dreaming of her) Later, at the bachelor party, the evening is a bust when the hired stripper arrives late. The distraught stripper (Renee La Rue) agrees to double-team Tony and Julian rather than risk losing her evening's pay. The three engage in some prolonged (if routine) action with plenty of sucking and fucking on all sides. Renee generally looks good but a long blonde wig obscures her face through much of the scene. Vivid's "multi-angle" feature is available and occasionally worth using during this scene and others. (My only gripe with the multi-angle is that the sound is always out of sync with the alternate angles, resulting in the alternate viewpoint being more distracting than erotic). Renee finishes off the guys on her sweaty torso.

Back at home, Renee reveals to her fiancée, Ian, that she was the stripper at his party (I missed some of the dialogue as to why Ian's fiancée just double-teamed two of his friends the night before the wedding). Nevertheless, Renee proves to him how hot their married sex-life will be by treating him to a rousing suck and fuck and getting some husbandly release on her face. (Knowing in advance that Renee was Ian's fiancée would have added some fun situational excitement to the opening scene - oh well, can't have everything in life, I suppose).

Meanwhile, Julian's fortune comes true when Kobe interrupts him during some ab-crunches to sit on his face. The two engage in some 69 fun and Julian gives the trim Kobe a vigorous, multi-positional pounding (including doggy-style - my favorite Kobe Tai viewing position). Tony's fortune cookie is also right on the money as he happens upon sexy Inari Vachs and sultry Raylene practicing some kickboxing. The two lovelies take time from their workout to bring Tony in for some 3-way fun. Raylene is the primary recipient of Tony's meat, while Raylene straps one on to fuck Inari missionary style. No doubt, the ladies look nice here but, again there is a ho-hum feeling to this segment that can't be denied.

Finally, Bobby's tortured visions end when he gets to foul Kobe as well. Once again, Kobe's firm, tawny figure looks great and she stalwartly takes Bobby's considerable meat up her narrow ass. (The dvd case, in rather confusing style, boasts that JADE PRINCESS features Kobe's "first anal with Bobby Vitale." Therefore, I couldn't tell if this was Kobe's first anal ever...or her first anal with Bobby. In any event, it is fun to watch Kobe accept such a delivery up her rear and she certainly moans and groans as if she is being anally penetrated for the first time so why quibble over semantics?).

All in all, JADE PRINCESS does offer fine looking ladies, solid (if run-of-the-mill adult) action and top-notch production values (including very good surround-sound). However, the disc does contain the outmoded (and highly frustrating) virtual reality menu access which takes some time and patience to operate (make sure to locate and use the "manual menu" feature instead). Nevertheless, the occasionally frustrating menu feature notwithstanding, JADE PRINCESS' bonus features are worth the headache. Super-sized extras include five "bad girl" scenes (including one with stunning Nikki Dial), 3 previews, 7 Vivid girl bios, 4 "grab bag" scenes, and at least 4 "Bonus Rooms" featuring multiple scenes of shaved girls, "natural" girls, sex in strange places (look for a very young Asia Carrera getting banged in an airplane bathroom) and 4 girl/girl scenes featuring the stunning Janine.

Bottom line, even if the main feature is good but standard fare that might not otherwise stand out from the crowd, when combined with the wonderful plethora of bonus material, JADE PRINCESS becomes another "must-have" title from Vivid.
