Hansel & Gretel

Who would think that Mother Goose looked so sensual? Or that a fairy tale would still entertain you? This is the story of Hansel & Gretel...and it is no longer a children's story. We are introduced to the movie by Gwen Summers playing Mother Goose. The movie continues its charm from there. I found this to be an overall enjoyable flick containing a light storyline, enjoyable humor and good sex scenes. The direction was well done and the pace well-set as the sex scenes seemed to come about quickly and last a good amount of time. The sex was well-lit and offered nice visuals as well as the option of multiple angles on occasion. I was also impressed by the option in the DVD extras to skip not only to your favorite sex scene, but to also skip to your favorite sex act or position.

Dale DaBone plays the not so sharp Hansel and did a wonderful job at keeping me giggling. The innocent Gretel is played by Dayton who kept me enticed by her beauty. Their adventure is prompted by the evil stepmother who wishes to rid the household of these "children". The father, wanting to please his new wife, walks Hansel and Gretel out into the woods and leaves them. During their journey out of the woods, Dayton fans will be pleased at the amount of sex that Gretel involves herself in.

The DVD options include Play, Chapters, Special Features and Set Up. Set-Up offers the option of turning on the multiple angle menu. Special Features offers Fetish Rooms, Bonus Rooms, Previews, Behind the Scenes, Phone Sex and The Web. Fetish Rooms are divided into the categories of Pussy Eating, Blowjob, Missionary, Spoon, Cowgirl and Doggie. This chapter gives you the option of quickly getting to your favorite act or position within the movie. I found this to be a very convenient option. Bonus Rooms gives us yet more sex scenes from other Vivid movies. You can choose from "More Dayton" or "Vivid Girls Get Fucked". Previews offers four hardcore movie trailers. Behind the Scenes is just what it suggests...a behind the scenes look at the movie. Phone Sex is a chapter featuring a half a dozen or so phone sex ads and a website ad. The Web is just a website ad.

I recommend this movie especially to Dayton fans and couples. There wasn't any fault to be found, other then the lack of a girl on girl scene or any really "nasty" sex. If you are looking for an overall good movie with just bits and pieces of dialogue, then this is the flick for you!

There have been good adult parodies of fairy tales (Sinful Rella) and bad ones (Wonderland), so I was wondering what the result would be from Paul Thomas' Hansel & Gretel when I placed the disc into my DVD player. Fortunately, Hansel & Gretel is a pleasant surprise - a film that doesn't blow us away (no pun intended) in production value or even sexual action, but one that has such an entertaining and enjoyable script, that it's hard to come away from this film without a smile on your face.

Dayton Rains is the star of the movie - but the real star is Dale DaBone, who shows just how good of an actor he is by throwing out some really well-written one liners in a way that seems very natural, and not at all the way we see dialogue rendered from the typical porn actor - which is, to say, very rehearsed.

Tyce Bune and Sharon Wild play the parents of Hansel (Dale DaBone) and Gretel (Dayton Rains), with each parent bringing a child into their relationship - which make Hansel and Gretel step-siblings (which, of course, makes their coupling later in the move less ).

Tyce and Sharon decide that the best way to help pay the bills and keep food on the table is to ditch the kids, so they take them out in the woods and loose them. They aren't out in the woods very long before one of Robin Hood's merry men (Pat Myne) shows up and offers the two directions in exchange for sexual fun with Dayton. Dale isn't too sure about this idea, but Dayton seems more than happy to go off with Pat for a few minutes.

Dale and Dayton eventually come across a castle run by a wicked queen (Meriesa Arroyo). The castle isn't made out of candy (which is my recollection of the Hansel & Gretel tale...but then again, Robin Hood's men didn't make any appearances in the version I know, either!) - but the witch does intend to eat them, but not before she has her fun with Dayton in a segment that includes Eric Masterson joining in on the action.

Meanwhile, Dale is having some fun of his own with Felicia Fox in a scene that intercuts between his sexual encounter and the one Dayton is having with Eric and Meriesa. Dale takes Felicia in the missionary and doggy position and climaxes by jerking off on her tits. In Dayton's segment, Eric fucks her doggy style and performs missionary with Meriesa and winds up coming on Meriesa's ass while Dayton watches.

The film concludes with Dayton and Dale escaping the evil queen (they throw her into some boiling water...and as we all know from The Wizard Of Oz, water melts evil witches!) and making out with each other in the woods. The only position Dale gets to try with Dayton (after some oral and blowjob action) is cowgirl, and he climaxes with a spurt onto Dayton's chest.

While most of the sex scenes in Hansel & Gretel are average at best, the humor of the film goes a long way. It's obvious that the actors involved are having a fun time with the costumes, setting and screenplay - and that fun is transformed to the viewer. So while this was far from the most erotic film I have ever seen, it was one of the more enjoyable ones I have watched this year.

As for the DVD itself, the video quality suffers a bit from the fact that Hansel & Gretel was shot on film, and Vivid still doesn't seem to be using very good film stock for their adult features (there is a lot of "dirt" and "white flecks" on the film). The sound, however is quite nice and in 5.1 audio. The features on the DVD include a so-so behind the scenes look at the movie, and more than enough bonus scenes (including a few featuring Dayton) to get the viewer off long after he or she has tired of the feature presentation.

All in all, this is a fairly good Vivid release, and one that, naturally, should appeal the most to fans of Dayton Rains.
