Up and Cummers 4

Volume four of Randy West's UP AND CUMMERS series may seem ancient, in light of the fact that this series (as of this writing) is now approaching its seventieth edition. However, good sex is good sex, and in this DVD, the performers deliver simply great sex. With superstars like Celeste, Dyanna Lauren and Misty Rain making some of their earliest appearances in this video, all their fans will want to get a hold of their introductory work.

The opening scene with unassuming brunette Eve and Randy West is okay, but nothing special Randy has had better chemistry with other newbies in later editions of UP AND CUMMERS, so this tryst seemed more like a filler than anything else.

Taylor Moore, who would later become more popular and perform with more sexual heat in later video, does a fairly good scene with her boyfriend. Even for a then-amateur, Taylor gives a sensuously wet and deep blowjob which has earned her a fan following, including myself (I anxiously await future UP AND CUMMERS releases which feature her some of her best work). However, the highlight of this film was the solo and girl-girl action between the lovely Dyanna Lauren and the legendary Celeste. Although these two have performed many lesbian scenes with each other before (in PUSSYMAN IV, POISON, among other great videos), they take their own sweet time to make plenty of sweet loving, without time constraints or plot getting in the way. As always, this reviewer can never get enough of deep, wet French kissing between two women, but they never disappoint in their displays of affection. All kinds of toys and dildos are used throughout their session, but seeing their mouths in action is more than enough for me.

Very thin, but also very leggy Misty Rain performs a hot and heavy session with real-life boyfriend Chad Thomas, complete with plenty of cocksucking and hearty anal action. While Misty's beau would never be mistaken for Mel Gibson, I can attest that Mr. Thomas is a real friendly, down-to-earth guy and his unpretentious attitude, coupled with Misty's sly enthusiasm always makes for a great sex scene. Decked out in red high heels and white lace stockings, bra and panties, Misty makes for a very sexy sight as she lies on the bed, displaying some very natural affection for her lucky beau. Her cock sucking is amazing, and they way she takes his considerable tool deep within her ass is awe-inspiring. Misty Rain is yet another underrated performer in the world of hardcore, and I highly recommend other movies which show her at her best, such as Anabolic Video's BUTT BANGED BICYCLE BABES where she shines with Francesca Le and VCA's SEX where she gets it on with Asia Carrera.

This DVD is typical of previous UP AND CUMMERS releases, with very little in the ways of frills or extras. Curiously, the credits at the beginning of the movie leave out Misty Rain, Taylor Moore and their partners, instead indicating Vanity, Envy, Diva, Chanel and Alex Sanders, who are nowhere to be found! Rest assured, that as promised on the packaging Misty and Taylor do appear and deliver all the goods.

The video quality is limited by the production and condition of the original master tape (I am assuming the original masters were used). There are many on-screen dropouts and other defects, which don't spoil the look of the DVD, but could have been corrected digitally. Although I understand that UP AND CUMMERS #4 isn't necessarily such a movie classic in our cinema history so as to deserve digital restoration, it is frustrating to see an image quality only a few grades better than tape.

Overall, this is another fine release from Mr. West, and is worthwhile for the energetic anal scene with the delectable Misty Rain alone.

From these humble beginnings sprang Randy West's massively successful (Vol. 79 just made its rounds through our office) series. Part of the appeal, of course, is the laid-back manner in which U&C is executed, a quality that really comes through in the first volume. Randy doesn't even pretend to have a plan, and it's refreshing. Vol. 1 gets a rating boost from the hot Roxanne Blaze scene, as does Vol. 4, thanks to Misty Rain.

The discs all look and sound very similar, and given the limitations of the source video, New Machine has done an acceptable (if not spectacular) job of bringing them to DVD. The transfers have very washed color, which is the fault of the original tapes; and fair amount of pixelation, which is the fault of the DVD. The scenes have varying degrees of color moire based on how they were lit. To the good is the huge number of chapter stops on each disc, which we love.
