Young Harlots: Private Lessons

Well, a title like Young Harlots is certainly going to get my attention, if nothing else. And you throw in a consistently quality cast, and there you go. Yet, there's just a little bit of magic somehow missing from this Harmony release, just that little bit that keeps me calling it good instead of great. Of course good porn is better than great most other things, so take from that what you will.

What I'm taking from it in particular is that Denice K is in the first scene. Hooray! Quite the cute array of girls lined up here, too, though some have the face of some heavy smoking and too much makeup that would make them thirteen times held back. Alright, I'll try the willing suspension of disbelief thing. The weird thing is that they try for a bit of plot here, but then also almost have it setup like an all sex feature. Just an odd contrast. Camera ADD, too, where it seems to always need to be moving. Now I have Yoda saying "Always in motion, the future is" stuck in my head. Great. That will make this scene with the lovely Denice soooo much sexier. I could do without the apparent instructors using bamboo canes to pleasure her at first. Look guys, you have penises, there's no need for the analog to it. And eventually, when they get more hands-on and are still using the canes, it's just annoying. Stop being stupid. Some ass caning follows, of course, which is just creepy considering we're going to have to believe that this is an off-age school. And there's something about two guys trying to do foreplay ? badly ? that is more than just a bit off-putting. Then they're using these metal balls on sticks on her. I'm getting way too bored here, and that shouldn't happen with Denice. I think the problem here is that the guys are controlling the action, and Denice is far better when she gets to perform. Irritation level got too high, so I fast forwarded. Now we have Denice doing reverse cowgirl, though we're zoomed in so far as to be ridiculously immature: first on her face, then watching her tits bounce. Finally there's some reverse cowgirl anal, though the camera is on the floor, so we don't even get to see her face during it. And the fact that her panties are still on means that penetration fans don't even get to see too much of that. Just appalling camera work. It eventually ends, though weakly.

The scene with Carla Cox has much of the same feeling to it, with two guys in it controlling what is going on. Typical schoolgirl scene to start, though why she is orally pleasuring a sex toy is beyond me. There's a kind of lusciousness there that is beyond absurd. Lots of white panty fetish here, too, which I don't have, so between the sex toy and the panties, I'm annoyed, not aroused. Throw in a foot fetish and I'd have to throw the disc across the room. But yeah, then it's too guys and more terrible camera work, as all of it is in too tight and at the wrong angle. Just skin piles moving around as a result. Not sexy.

Felecia Brotom gets next billing, and it's another blonde in another scene. This one appears to star Glenn Beck in a nineteenth century kitchen. Or something. I can't even fathom what is going on here. Maybe I need more .

And that shouldn't happen with any film. I mean, the extras, including a reasonably pleasant solo scene, are nice, but they aren't enough to carry a film that tries to be sexy and hardcore but just screws up so many technical details that it winds up tepid at best. Step one should be to let your female talent perform; step two is to back the fuck off with the camera. Medium shots are great for most porn scenes, with selected close-ups on good angles. This is just much too much, trying to get everything, and managing to lose most of it as a result. I expect better from Harmony and Gazzman, and hopefully in the future I'll get it.
