Six Tales of Tease

The graphics are cool, the disc plays fairly well, and the sound... well it could be better (source material issue), but it's acceptable. But of course there is a catch. Six Tales of Tease offers very little excitement or originality, plus the "tease" part is run of the mill. So what am I saying then? Well, this gonzo production is filled with newbie talent, merely going through the choreographed motions, thereby delivering an average-at-best overall production. If standard vanilla sex, with an exception of some notable oral cumshots, is your forte... have a look. Otherwise, expect that STOT is just plain mundane gonzo, much like most of the crap slung out on the market today.

While it can be said that newcomers are always a welcomed sight, the downside to this (unfortunately represented very well here) is that they, as in the talent, have to/expected to follow trite and juvenile directives tossed out by the director and/or male talent. I've said this in other reviews, and I'll say it again... viewers of adult film expect more, not less. If a studio is offering us blazing all sex/no filler, then damn well do it! If we are offered the "tease" motif, lead us in and make us hot! Do not confirm the theory that media must address the public on a sixth grade level. Six Tales of Tease, and many other titles out there, seek to pacify the audience with monotonous mind candy that really isn't very entertaining, nor is it arousing. Perhaps this reviewer has been getting a little too emotional lately, but the point must be made. There are superb, creatively original, spins on an old formula. Some directors/studios/talent pools are wonderfully apt at this, so why do others simply go the el cheapo route? Hey, I don't know. I do know this though... Six Tales of Tease is both tame (based on the genre overall) and tedious.

Cover model slash hottest babe on the disc, Simone, follows standard fare; striptease and question/answer with director. A brief bout of masturbation precedes the entrance of actor John West. As expected of gonzo, the director chimes in throughout certain moments, but it usually just causes a distraction and, in my opinion, causes the young starlet and her partner to lose focus for an instant. Regardless, the couple exchanges oral, some mutual masturbation, some rimming (ironic there is no "anal" sex though), and a serious of vaginal fuck positions. In the end, John spews into her mouth - she performs well at this final point. Indeed it is refreshing to know that not every scene in every porn flick need gaping assholes, cum swapping, and double-penetrations (though I am normally quite particular to these). Too much "shock", I believe, is strewn throughout most of the current releases out there. That is perhaps the only positive element, in retrospect, of the whole movie. No shock and awe visuals. Maybe boring for an entire film to be vanilla, but the idea is cool in concept - if only that standardized sex was steamy enough to justify that concept.

During breast-enhanced Honey's scenario, the sound resonates with a "hum", and even worse, if you listen close enough, the voices of crew can be heard. Distracting to say the least. Her solo show comes to a close with the interruption of the two offscreen voices. From this point, one of pointless chatter and juvenile expressions, Honey puts on her happy face - merely awaiting the entrance of actor Benjamin Bratt. No it's not the mainstream actor, but this guy does resemble the namesake. Again, just standard sex with a chin target money shot.

Dominica, one who looks better and better as the scene progresses (physical appearance alone), tries too damn hard at self pleasuring. Frankly the whole segment comes off pathetically artificial. Next up, very cute black-haired Kylie Rochelle takes the stage. Yakking and prodding from the anonymous offscreen presence precedes a fairly arousing bout of sucking and fucking with veteran Tyce Bune. Final note... nice oral cumshot in closing. More unfortunate, unmistakably redundant scenery continues though. The directors follow suit with Serena and chapter six's Jackie Moore. In short... it's "more" boredom. Very little enthusiasm, even less diversity in sexuality.

So what we have here is an example of simple format porn that doesn't break any new ground, barely covering any acceptable and expected ground at that. Yes, the girls are average to cute in looks, and of course they're "fresh". Then again, I've already covered the downsides of that too. The fact that there isn't any "shock" value to STOT could have meant something worthwhile had the sexual heat been average or better. In the end though, the lack of any sexual diversity, teamed with poor filmmaking, leads to certain death. The DVD's menu options are less than average, offering a scene breakdown, slides, company info and website information. The assessment is fair; there is nothing offered on either end of the spectrum. No hot sex, and no DVD bonuses make for a lame disc indeed.
