Neighborhood Swingers 7

Devils Films has a good thing going with something like Neighbourhood Swingers 7. It's not the commercial for their website in the opening (which desperately needs to be updated, as there is some seriously old footage there), but that they have managed to create a film with relatively low production costs, as there are really only two scenes here. Just get 12 people together (six in one scene, six in the other), and let them do their thing. Much cheaper, fewer sets needed, filming is done faster, etc. That isn't to say that this is automatically going to be anything great, but at least it puts them in a position to make something sustainable and with a good level of talent. The name that will garner the most attention right off the bat is Katja Kassin, she of the relatively new breasts and otherwise seemingly unchanging look. She stars in the first of the two scenes, opposite Sydnee Taylor, Sophia Bella, and some guys you probably don't care about. My favourite part of this scene? The lovely artwork on the wall
behind the couch. If that's a painting, the use of colour is remarkable. Otherwise, it's typical dudebro behaviour, something I would hope this industry can grow out of in the future. Then the women show up, and it turns out they're in the kitchen, holding what are obviously empty coffee cups and playing with their hair as they talk. Terrible editing here, too. Has this person run a camera before? Then Katja sneaks one of the guys away for some fun for no discernible reason. It isn't long before someone walks in on them, and gee, you'll never guess what happens from here. I'm amazed the pizza delivery guy or the plumber doesn't show up. It seems that the motif here is that the women are kind of sex animals, and darn it if the guys aren't okay with that. Putting aside the stereotypes for the moment, at least the scene itself gets going with great haste. It's about what you would expect, with everyone taking a turn with everyone else, though the camera work borders on VHS camcorder level at times. We're just too close to the action, where we don't seem to get any establisher shots. Because Katja is Katja, she puts in a full round of anal, and each of the ladies gets a facial to herself in the end, too. If nothing else, this is thoroughly unlike any party I've been to. Plus, I really would not want to see my friends naked. That first scene takes up almost an entire hour, so pardon my not doing a blow by blow (ahem) summary. The second scene is a poolside scene, and I frequently complain about outdoors scenes. They do, thankfully, eventually go inside, and I say that because outdoor scenes tend to have such sharply contrasting shadows. How is it these people can always afford these houses, anyhow? A steady diet of porn makes me feel like I don't have a good enough income or real estate
situation. The guys just run over so play with asses, and then swimsuits start coming off. Don't think too hard about it. Mira, Mandy Armani, and Cassandra Nix are in this second one, and this scene is notable for containing a DP sequence. It's not all that well shot, though, as there are almost always bodies in the way. Bad director. Had this entire sequence been better shot - and had the lighting been better, as we're inside but are obviously using film lights - then I'd be a much bigger fan of what's going on. Except for the one lady that is way too scary thin. These films can tend to be a great deal of fun, though the technical quality isn't quite there with this edition of Neighbourhood Swingers. The concept is solid, though, so it's really a matter of just polishing up some of the techniques and production to make this into something that could be a great deal of fun. There isn't much in the way of extras, but if this is done right, that's really not an issue. Worth a look, though there's still some mprovement surely yet to come.
