Lisa Ann's School Of MILF

I respect that Lisa Ann has her own label going at this point. I think it's a good thing for more performers to move into production and directing as time goes on. But the same problem that has kept me from being a fan of Lisa Ann on the screen is the same problem that keeps me from loving the releases from her production company: she seems to feel the need to be everywhere. And by everywhere, I mean she shows up in a majority of the scenes in most of her films. That's not going to cut it for me. She seems like a glory hound. Lisa Ann's School of MILF is attempting to have some kind of plot, but thankfully I don't have to try too hard to keep up with it. We get four scenes here, and three of them have Lisa Ann. Also, she's listed as the first star of the film, and her introduction is dramatically longer than anyone else's. There was an old Mad TV skit that I remember, which means I'm probably the only one: it was some kind of spoof of the bad sci-fi shows that would wind up on UHF stations. This particular one featured the wife of the director, and she got this ridiculous amount of screen time for no apparent reason. That's what's going on here. The scene that remains Lisa Anna-free is probably the best one of the bunch, and I'm not saying that to somehow be vindictive.

Natalia Starr's performance is massively impressive. Very, very enjoyable. I should feel the same about the bit with Maddy O'Reilly, Presley Hart, Kristina Rose, and especially Holly Michaels. They find sex toys in the classroom (because plot), and off we go. I'm glad they skip the toys for some bit. Then Lisa Ann the teacher comes back, and she winds up being the center of pleasure for quite some time. The scene really slowed down right about here, and I found that a little bit disappointing. And if I'm going to watch a scene where I get to see Maddy perform like this, it's in the latest version of Maneul Ferrara's Reverse Gangbang series. Hmm. I hope Holly has done one of these. Holly gets an additional scene, in fact, and I like this one. I'd like it more without Lisa Ann there to simply be in the camera shot most of the time. Really, that's just kind of what she does, keeping her face near Holly's. I don't fault anyone for doing what they please with their own business. Lisa Ann has more than paid her dues in the adult industry, and she can do as she pleases. The last release I reviewed from her was pretty good in that Lisa kept herself to just one scene. The first I saw, however, had her involved in the money shot of each scene. This is a balance between the two, and I think we need to go to more Lisa behind the camera than in front of it. She does mug for the camera right at the outset, and it feels like a vanity piece as well. It's supposed to be a tease bit, but there's something about the setting or the angle or something that just isn't making it all that alluring. It's long, too, but then eventually leads into the first BG scene of the bunch. I'm alright with a tease bit like this, too, but it kind of just keeps going and then fades out. Then she's dressed again and the sex scene starts. All I get from that kind of opening is that the director is making this for the director. So, yeah. Maybe I'm not the best person to be reviewing this flick, but it seems to me that no studio can last all that long making films that only feature the director. I've complained about the attitude Lisa Ann shows on camera in the past, but I don't want to see it get to a point where these performances are sad, either. I hope she can find a good balance and put on the camera what she thinks everyone wants to see, instead of just satiating what's going on upstairs.
