Crazed

With an intriguing plot and an all star cast, "Crazed," solidifies Jonathan Morgan as a porn demigod. This is not your parent's porn, that's for sure. Wicked Pictures hits again with articulate; yet feverishly compelling scenes, along with top-notch special features. Morgan captures the essence of sexuality in every scene he directs. Not one scene in this movie was a let down.

Serenity plays Jane, a regular girl who only wants a little romance in her life. It seems husband Steven (Mickey G) just wants to blow a nut, roll over, and . However, we don't find this out until a few establishing shots are taken care of. For instance; the opening scene between Morgan and Shawna Edwards (Karen) is fervid, quickly establishing the temper of the flick. It also establishes the location?a mental institution. Serenity is locked up, spending her sleepless nights in a padded room. As she opens up to Doctor Weston, we learn of her madness, torture, and sexual escapades that kept her from ever shutting her eyes again.

When a figurine that supposedly cures disorders is given to Serenity, she slips into a restful only to continually find herself battling Mike Horner (the Sandman) for control of her breathlessly erotic (and painfully realistic) dreams. Dr. Weston persists on expelling all Serenity's demons, her to relive each steamy dream. Like the dream that saw Serenity being berated by Horner, who claims her husband doesn't want her anymore. Out pops Missy?complete with bondage gear and flogger. Serenity obliges Missy with a kiss, and the pair begins undulating to the floor where Missy gives Serenity a good old-fashioned flogging. After a scorching sixty-nine, Missy pulls out her bag of tricks. Wielding a full-sized rubber replica of an arm (complete with fingers outstretched), Missy works her way toward Serenity's sweetness. Serenity replies with a moan, humping the apparatus vigorously. Missy jams it home, submerging all four fingers and the thumb causing Serenity to erupt with raw fervor. It seems serenity has quite the imagination. When she runs out of ideas, Horner has a few of his own. Such as, a six person free for all that winds up with all the girls taking it up the ass. Superb!

Wicked's features are among the industry's finest, including a cool commentary with Serenity and Morgan. Other studios are beginning to incorporate the animated bio, and Wicked is no exception. Professionally done, Wicked's bios even include some of the male actors as well as the starlets of the feature; all complete with an audio history and animated scene playing in the background. Also included are the obligatory trailers, scene selection, and photo gallery. A must for all adult enthusiasts, "Crazed" is sure to be a blockbuster DVD release.

There are no erotic scenes. There is lots of sex, but nothing particularly erotic. The acting is, of course, unimpressive and the dialogue should have been completely cut. There are many more videos you could waste your money on.

Jonathan Morgan's dark, edgy psycho-drama comes to DVD in a really excellent addition to Wicked's small catalog of discs. Paying homage to every film that ever put someone in a straight-jacket, from In the Mouth of Madness to Frances, Crazed stars Serenity as a woman whose world is either much more or much less distubing than she believes.

The disc is razor-sharp, one of the best video transfers yet released. Sadly, the muddy audio doesn't match the standard set by the picture, resulting in a tiny smack to the "Quality" rating.

Extras include breathy audio cast bios, and an extensive photo gallery, and audio commentary by Serenity and director Morgan that's a treat all by itself. Definite pre-nom for Best DVD.

DVD FEATURES

The biography section is really well done, with running video, factual text tidbits and an audio voice over reading of detailed biographies. Very nicely done. There are four trailers for other Wicked DVD titles, Flashpoint, Conquest, Satyr and Crazed. All of them are great trailers and would make me want to check out all of these DVDs.
A nicely put together slide show shows off tons of hardcore shots.

Morgan and Serenity do running commentary on the movie and they have a great chemistry. They don't over do the commentary like a lot of other commentators do in the adult word, but offer great insights into the making of a porn, as well as plenty of cool sexual tidbits.

It's kind of interesting that Wicked would release this DVD right after director Jonathan Morgan just took home a shitload of hardware for his genuinely funny movie 'Double Feature.' We got back a couple of years and find that Morgan is also entirely capable of making edgy, chilling movies as well. Also showing versatility in this role is Serenity. Usually most at home in light, quirky roles that allow her to show off comedic timing and killer smile, Serenity shows us a side we've never seen in this movie. Since so much effort went into the look and feel of this movie, it's nice to see that Wicked did such a great job on the DVD transfer. The picture and sound quality are excellent, which really adds a great deal to the feel.

is an inmate in an asylum. Jonathan Morgan is her doctor. Apparently, part of her therapy is to bone her doctor. Well hell, she's playing with herself, so all the good doc is doing is helping the poor thing out. Opening her mouth wide, Shawna shows some great deep throat abilities, making all of Morgan's cock vanish. She seems a little lethargic as he starts fucking her from behind, but once a thumb finds its way up her ass, Shawna lights up a bit. There is another patient who attracts the attention of a specialist. He wants to hear her story. Be prepared smut fans, this is not the drop dead gorgeous Serenity we're used to seeing. It takes us back to her marital bed where husband Mickey G seems about a subtle as a kick in the teeth. Serenity would like it very much if he would make love to her, but all G wants is a warm place to stick it. Clearly this relationship is in a bit of trouble. She relates her problems to girlfriend Jaclyn Lick who gives her an evil looking statue that she calls a god. Oh this is going to help.

On the first night, the statue does bring her , but also brings a dark figure, Mike Horner, to her dreams. It doesn't seem so bad at first, because in her dreams, hubby Mickey is very warm and attentive. Of course, what guy wouldn't be attentive to a woman this gorgeous with her mouth around his dick? I guess the candles and the big bed make even a blowjob romantic in the world of porn. After Serenity rides his face like a donkey, Mickey rolls her over and gives her what she's wanted all along, a long, slow session of hot love. Wow, Serenity is flexible and that looks fantastic on film. Mickey leave a rather big load on her chest and a huge smile on her face.,

Convinced that her dreams are real, Serenity sinks further into the madness. Horner haunts her dreams, mocking her naiveté. With the help of Missy, he begins to unlock all of the hidden desires that she has kept hidden. Check out this little leather outfit she's got on under that frumpy housedress. Missy and Serenity look fantastic together as Missy takes a whip to that fantastic ass. Yeah, it's a veggie scene, but when you bring this kind of heat to a scene between two women who look this fucking good, even I have sit up and take notice. (So to speak.)

Her dreams are no beginning to spill over into the waking hours as she slips not so slowly into paranoid insanity. Jaclyn comes over to check on her friend, and doesn't come along. Jackie brings Michael J. Cox and Cold Steele along to help relieve some of her stress. The four of them get into bed and both guys get very busy with their mouths. Jackie is a great performer, but can you blame the guys for wanting a shot at Serenity's perfect body and gorgeous face? I love it when she really gets into sucking a dick, it's perfect porn. The foursome give each other a hard, fast fuck, but there is a surprise waiting for Serenity at the end. Jackie isn't who she appears to be, but is Horner in disguise.

The doctors Serenity to finally , but that only makes things worse. (Well of course, she's being haunted by demons.) Horner promises to make everything all right by showing Serenity an orgy of exposed flesh. (and this makes it OK how?) Warner, Spice, Johnni Black, Steve Hatcher, Cox and Morgan find their way around each other. Warner is quite a performer, but Johnni is a phenomenal cocksucker and Spice is one of those unsung supersluts who light up the screen whenever they take centerstage. Horner and Serenity watch as the debauchery unfolds, including a very nice anal from Ms. Black and a healthy facial for each of the ladies.

This is not your average cheery porn story, where everyone gets laid and has a few laughs. As he did in Indigo Delta, Morgan paints an eerie picture of sexual fantasy and evil. Serenity and Horner both shine in their roles, making the dark dream world as real and frightening as possible. It's amazing though, even when they try to make her crazy and scary looking, Serenity still looks like a million bucks. Her sex scenes carry most of the sexual heat in the movie, but when has that ever been a bad thing? Just the sight of her perfect body in that leather get up in her scene with Missy is worth a second look. A nicely crafted, creepy porn movies with some hot sex scenes, 'Crazed' is perfect for those people looking for a little bit more than your average schtoop fest. Housewives haunted by demons and demented doctors may not be everyone's idea of a sexy two hours, but you have to appreciate the effort it takes to put a movie like this together.

If only the sex were as feverous as the movie itself. Crazed is a great DVD, packed with dynamic and informative extras. Even the main menu is cool - the 'scene' in the background portrays the tone of the movie really well. Serenity is refreshingly cute, instead of the typical 'Look at me, I'm beautiful' porn star. She also can act both in and out of the bedroom. I definitely enjoyed watching this DVD even though it didn't spark a Crazed evening (excuse the bad pun.)

The intermingling of the real world with a passionate dream world makes the movie interesting, but definitely could have been smoother (or I should say more intricate.) Serenity's descent into insanity strays from your run of the mill porn plot. As usual in porn, the story set a mood rather than providing a seat gripping adventure. Mike Horner and the special effects develop that tone even further.

The sex ranges from passionate couple's sex between Serenity and Mickey G to Missy in leather straps to everlasting orgies. The opening scene with director Jonathon Morgan and Shawna Edwards (see Porno Star cover) in a padded room is a stimulating opener - Shawna is always enthusiastic and Jonathon played the doctor quite well. I also enjoyed the Serenity Mickey G. scene except for the immediate cut to blowjob after a couple quick kisses - the romance is embodied by the mere existence of a rose instead of truly romantic sex. Orgies don't do it for me - and the big one just kept going and going and going (interestingly enough - no condoms in the big orgy.)

Onto the extras - nice job Wicked! The audio bios are interesting - some cheese thrown in - but the mix of audio with photos is great. The trailers (Flashpoint, Satyr, Conquest, Crazed) were excellent - as good as any mainstream flicks. I haven't listened to the audio commentary yet (should have done that before writing this - oh well sue me :)

So all in all - cool disc, not a must have but definitely enjoyable. If I didn't watch the Fever of Laure before Crazed I'd be a whole-hearted Wicked fan.
