When you want to cut to the chase and get off as fast and as efficiently as possible, nothing beats (and helps you beat off) a compilation flick. These no-brainer videos dispense with the stilted chit-chat, perfunctory foreplay, and anything else which gets in the way of the bump and grind, and gives you only the meat, no potatoes. I personally don't care for them (I would much rather see the video in its original context), but the general public just loves 'em and they seller faster than hotcakes with maple syrup. Though most comp titles are assembled as an afterthought, they often provide a decent sampling of what's available from a studio's catalog, compelling porn zombies like me into seeking out more products.

Knowing a sure-thing trend when they see it, Zero Tolerance has opened up their library of X-rated videos, excerpted all the ass-fucking and cumshot scenes, and assembled them together into the surprisingly effective APPRENTASS. Sporting the spectacular Monica Sweetheart on the cover, the DVD boasts "20 all anal scenes" (along with their as well as a single "brand new scene"). Though the degree of creativity and production values don't come close to matching that of Private compilations (as seen in the exceptional THE PRIVATE LIFE OF JESSICA MAY, among others), Zero Tolerance outclasses competing studios like Vivid and Seymore Butts Home Movies when it comes to giving viewers a well-done "greatest hits" collection.

Each scene, of course, begins mid-way into the action (it's all about butt-fucking, after all) but for easy reference we're provided a quick caption identifying the performers and the scene's original source at the beginning. Some of the vignettes feature threesomes, but the majority are one on one affairs with very little girl-girl action (though we get a nice cum-swap between Anna Nova and Olivia O' Lovely in the second scene).

Again, my personal preference is to see the complete scene, as intended by the director from beginning to end. However, I do understand that the only way to squeeze in as much sodomaniacal sin as possible on a DVD requires some wholesale editing. Generally, the action is as good as the genre gets, and few will be disappointed by the samplings served here.

As one might predict, picture and sound quality is generally very good, with very little differences among vignettes. This is gonzo, after all, and it's only natural that there would be technical uniformity within the same studio. On compilation DVDs, bonuses might seem superfluous, yet Zero Tolerance sees fit to give us one additional scene (which, of course, involves anal). Luena (a dark-haired, olive skin cutie with a great body) and Mr. Francesca Le himself, Mark Wood. Surprisingly, there's lots of deep kissing and intimacy which precedes their very physical suck and fuck, which includes a very messy and fully satisfying facial. Assuming you don't mind the butchering of each individual scene, I can't think of a better way to get one's sodomania fix than with a compilation as enjoyable APPRENTASS.
