Visions of X

The last Teri Weigel movie I ever saw, DEEP INSIDE TERI WEIGEL, was so amazingly poor that it's a wonder I had the wherewithal to review any one of her titles since she made a comeback to the world of porn. Luckily, Jerome Tanner's VISIONS OF X is a better video featuring the most notorious Playboy Bunny ever to defect from the Hugh's mansion. It's not great porn by any means, but it does the job.

The movie plays like a parody, with Teri (looking well-fed here) playing a woman who is burdened by images of porno actors and actresses (playing themselves) having sex in her house. Teri deliberately over-emotes to convey the satirical nature of the video, "I see porno people...they're everywhere...sometimes in a cold room, my nipples get hard...that's them too!" But the humor for the most part is pretty much an overly-contrived bust, and the movie ends up being about as funny as THE SIXTH SENSE. There are some throwaway tributes to PSYCHO and a few references to this video's director and to the movie itself, but neither the budget nor the production are ambitious enough to do anything more creative with the script.

Petite and exotic looking Mariah looks good enough to eat, which Dave Hardman does in a dimly lit straight scene where he devours her pussy in a sixty-nine position. Mariah also gives great, hands-free head while he remains standing, but it's cut a bit short by the spooning fucking position which leads into a missionary, then cowgirl, and finally doggy-style pounding.

Unfortunately, distracting shadows and uninspired camera angles take away from some of the otherwise awesome visuals, which is unfortunate because Cherry is actually a talented deep throater. Evan Stone and Tara get it on in a subdued bedroom fuck while Teri watches on. Tara is just another gorgeous blonde in the world of porn, but she has a fresh-faced look reminiscent of another petite blonde Missy when she first appeared in adult movies. Tara knows how to give great head, but she is more of a passive performer to Evan's multi-positioned screwing, which she seems to genuinely enjoy.

Teri's scene does not come until after we finish watching her take a long and lengthy shower, which might have put me to , had Jessica Drake and Tara saved the day with a bathtub lesbian scene. Beginning with candle wax drippings all over Jessica's chest, the two engage in slow love while Teri masturbates with a red dildo. She eventually joins in on the fun, but assumes a rather lazy role throughout, with a minimum of pussy eating and only a few wet kisses with the other girls. Clearly, this is a scene for all those involved, as the viewer would have been better off letting Tara and Jessica go to work on their own.

The final scene teams up Teri with Herschel Savage, and Teri puts on a sensual act, but seems almost aloof when it comes to doing the deed. She sucks cock rather gamely (Cherry could definitely give her lessons in that act) and overacts while getting her pussy eaten, or riding on his dick. She knows how to go through the motions, but it's hard to detect any hardcore intensity, which actresses like Tiffany Mynx, Leena or Ashlyn Gere pull off so easily. In fact, Teri seems more animated during the Behind the Scenes featurette, which is an extra on the DVD more entertaining than the movie itself.

Legend has also included a biography section which no longer insults the pictured talent with mean-spirited captions as it did on previous titles. Some of the misspellings on the DVD package are just careless. Teri's name is spelled correctly on the front cover, but typed as "Terri" on the back. Herschel Savage is also misspelled which borders on the incompetent. Video and audio quality is generally good, but the picture looks a bit soft (mainly due to the lighting) which flatters most of the older performers.

VISIONS OF X would probably be better titled THE SEX SENSE or something which would better convey the satirical nature of the video. Either way, this is passably serviceable porn: good for a little personal fun, but that's about it.
