African Heat

This film was shot on location in Zululand, South Africa, and the plot involves a safari of people stuck in the jungle for three months before they can back the diamonds they've found, with each of he main characters trying to steal one of the really big diamonds. The film begins at night with warriors dancing around a fire, and then two couples start fucking. Seems like they used up most of he budget just to get to South Africa and saved almost all the rest for the boxcover. What remained of the budget for the actual shoot was largely . There's too much National Geographic here. And despite the presence of black performers, there is no interracial sex, just one black couple at the beginning and then in a later scene. (If you're looking for videos set in South Africa, Private video does a much better job with on location shoots.)

But the real problem is the talent. While the actors perform reasonably well and while there are seven scenes, the scenes are very short, the lighting at night is bad, the editing is mechanical, limited to a few shots, and the couples have sex in only a very few positions. The opener would have been much better, since Neena is very hot, if it had been shot in the daylight (like, hello?!) so we could have actually seen the action. The bad lighting and the shortness of the scenes are really a loss in the two scenes with Stacy Valentine. I am a big fan of hers, and she does turn in a hot performance in the two scenes she's in. In the first, she does a good job taking Cox's very large dick in her mouth and rides it fast and hard in her reverse cowgirl. Her tits look great, like she just got over a recent, larger than ever boob job. And Stacy even works up a sweat in her second scene. Her looks nice and she sports some nice pink lipstick. But we hardly get to see her before the scenes are over. DMJ6, Café Flesh, Forever Night, and New Wave Hookers 5 put Stacy to much better use.

The same is true of the scenes with Sidnee Steele, especially the last one, which is really just a quickie. If you like lesbian scenes, the two-way dildo in the lesbian scene with Steele and Crystal will surely spark your interest. Taylor looks good, though her long blonde wig is a bit much. One extra is a scene with Sidnee Steele dancing alone outside during the day, looks at camera. Neena has nice, natural, large boobs. Overall, the film seems uninspired. Oh, and we never do see any diamonds.

As DVDs go, this one is of exceptionally high quality technically, as VCA DVDs typically are. There are seven animated chapter headings with names of each female star in each, a photo gallery that is really a slide show, and star biographies for Valentine, Steele and Taylor with jump to a "hot scene" animated headings for each. The biographies could have been a lot more informative (why don't they get a serious fan to write them?). There are two trailers for Valentine movies, a virtual tour, and buttons for internet and contact information.
