Crazy About Asians 3

CRAZY ABOUT ASIANS is obviously meant to capitalize on the "exotic pussy" niche of adult videos, and is tailor-made (or rather, tailor-compiled) for those who have a particular "thing" for Asian women (or for pretty women in general, who just so happen to be Asian). The Oriental-style lettering on the cover confirms Mr. West's and New Machine's deliberate marketing strategy, despite the fact that almost all of the girls here are American-born. Oh, well...I guess that the politically correct among us should just be grateful that this video wasn't called "CLAZY ABOUT ASIANS" or whatever tired joke might otherwise have been placed in the title.

In any event, this video is generous on hardcore action, but is put together rather sloppily, with no introductions by our less than gracious host (other than the generic written statement on the back box cover) and very little build-up to each scene. Even more questionable is the fact that the beginning of each affair introduces the girls by name and country, which, to me implies that each girl is fresh-off-the-boat foreign born (thus adding to the "exoticness"). For instance, lovely Kalena has "Vietnam" placed under her name, when viewers of UP AND CUMMERS #56 will recall her as being Hawaiian-born. True, she may very well be part Vietnamese by birth, but she is probably as American as Briana Banks. Now, I realize that all this is bitching is pedantic, not to mention geeky, but fans shouldn't be too misled by a title that seeks to capitalize on a "special interest."

Okay, enough of the technicalities. Here's what CRAZY ABOUT ASIANS 3 is really all about: the DVD features seven individual, multi-chapter vignettes including a threesome with Randy, Kalena and sexy blonde Taylor Moore, another threesome with Mr. West, Leanni Lei and Faith, a straight scene between Charmane Star and Kyle Stone, a one-on-one with Kasorn Swan and Randy, another straight scene with Shawnee, a solo scene with Jade, and an oral finale with Kalena making an encore appearance. Those who are familiar with Mr. West's style knows that the sex scenes can often go on and on and on, to the point of tedium, but the talent will hold your interest for the entire two-hour, fifteen minute running time. However, judging by the presentation of the Kalena/Taylor Moore/Randy threesome, it's clear that viewers are getting edited editions of the original scenes. This is not a bad thing for those who want to dispense with Randy's chatty, pre-game interviews and get down to business, but true blue collectors will want the original vignettes intact. Since I'm not too fond of compilations in general, this kind of collection is not my kind of movie, despite the wall-to-wall action.

And truth be told, there is nothing wonderfully unique about any of these scenes, and certainly, there is nothing extraordinarily special about the individual performances just because they are Asian girls. I will say, however, that most of the sex is consistently hot, especially the dual blowjob action courtesy of Leanni and Faith, and Kasorn has such a dark and deep tan on her rock hard body, that it's a pleasure just to watch her undress. Charmane Star, who can elevate mediocrities like boring THE YOUNGER THE BERRY, THE SWEETER THE JUICE to above average levels of sexual heat, is a performer who looks her sexiest when she's watching herself in a mirror, getting reverse-cowgirl fucked, and I found her scene the most repeatable. Lucky Kyle Stone even gets to spill his nut juice all over her pretty mouth.

Like most New Machine titles, CRAZY ABOUT ASIANS 3 gives us only a handful of meager extras including a set of previews which seem to be recycled over and over again in all other Randy West movies. The Picture Gallery has some nice, clean stills, but not enough really bother watching more than once. Even more disappointing is the fact that none of the scenes are given any credit as to their original source, so you're going to have to do a little detective work on your own to locate the full, unabridged segments from the many UP AND CUMMERS titles. (Thank god for the "Performer Search" function on the Adult DVD Empire site!). Video and audio quality is acceptable for a New Machine title, but is nowhere near as sharp or as detailed as any given title from VCA or even Anabolic.

CRAZY ABOUT ASIANS is a decent compilation if you just want a healthy taste of the Americanized Far East. I just prefer a fuller meal.
