Buttman Goes To Rio / Buttman Back In Rio

The first thing that is going to hit you like a ton of bricks is the lousy colors and soft resolution throughout most of the two features. It was a cool idea to put both in the same package, given their age. It's a chance to see Stagliano's Buttman at an early stage. This wasn't the first Buttman installment, but you can get the idea that he was trying to craft an ongoing saga of himself as he tries to get his work picked up by distributors. Even with all the chatter he engages in, this was the first time I can recall Brazilian women given exposure and of course, we all know that thanks to Buttman, ass worship gained particular attention.

But good Lord! The transfer quality was really poor in many spots, in fact, and overall fuzzy resolution persisted, probably due the fact that it was originally captured and produced on non-digital equipment. I think he used to shoot with a Hi-8 video camera, which was the best at the time, but still only "analog". This was originally shot about ten years or more ago. Stagliano's female cohorts, Brandy Alexandre, who he was involved with at the time, and in "Back in Rio", the Shane prototype, Angela Summers add to his roleplays as they look for sex in Rio. Great opening in the second one, "Back in Rio" as the close shot on the girl's butt as she walks lets you soak in the glory of fine nubile flesh. Too bad they had the title rolling over it! If you can get past how bad the transfer looks, getting both films in one is a good buy.
