Jack's Playground 18

There was a time when I was very suspect about the future of the Jack's Playground series. It was certainly like nothing else porn was offering (a mix of the gonzo and feature categories with a big splash of humor thrown in), and I just wasn't sure the series could go very far without repeating itself.

Well, like a favorite TV series or a restaurant you love going to again and again, the Jack's Playground titles have been successful because they haven't strayed from their original formula - yet also bring the viewer something fresh and different each time...namely the female talent! As you may or may not know, I watch a lot of porn...but Jack always seems to manage to roust up a few newbies I've never seen before in each new volume.

After a "Jack Recap" with the always-humorous Montel, this volume gets underway over at "Madame Celeste's House of Whores," where Jack has been asked to watch the cat while Celeste is out of the country visiting Prague. Stopping by for a visit is the exotically beautiful long-haired Domino, who kicks off this title by teaming up with Eric Masterson.

One of the non-sexual highlights of Jack's Playground 18 is watching Montel interview dark-skinned adult star Vanessa Blue. Vanessa gets pulled into a conversation about her website with Montel, which quickly turns into a very funny discussion about whether or not Vanessa is plotting to get back at "the white man". In any other title, dialogue like this could come close to crossing the line from humor to racism, but the writers of Jack's Playground seem to always know where that line is, coming up to it, but never jumping over it - which makes for very, very funny stuff. The fact that all this humor is coming from a talking dildo only adds to the guffaws.

Dark-haired Eva is a real cutie...and someone I haven't seen before - so even though she only strips and masturbates for Jack, I really enjoyed watching her. I keep hoping some of these solo-masturbation gals (there are at least two in every volume of Jack's Playground) will return for some hardcore action in a future volume...and currently Eva is one of my top five picks to see do that!

As if Jack's Playground didn't have enough humorous characters in it, the last several volumes have featured Evan Stone hamming it up for the camera. In this volume, he plays "Pirate Stone," and in full-pirate makeup he makes out with a very taken aback (I'm wondering if she knew Evan was going to be dressed as a pirate before the scene started) Vanilla. The action between the two is pretty good...with my only reservation being that Vanilla keeps her mouth clamped shut during Evan's facial pop-shot, and seems to have no desire to lick his cock clean after he's done unloading on her face.

Those who didn't think Eva's solo scene was quite vigorous enough, should enjoy the one with Ramona Luv that comes next. While Eva just lightly teased her pussy during her scene, Ramona doesn't have and problem fingering and rubbing herself with a little more gusto. The two solos segments balance out nicely - giving something to those fans who like to be "teased" and those who really want to see a girl get nasty with herself.

The biggest selling point for this volume would have to be the next-to-last scene, which features box cover gal and AVN's 2005 Starlet of the Year, Cytherea. She meets up with Jack and Dale DaBone in a hotel room, but Dale isn't anxious about having to film a sex scene. Jack bribes him with something he owns (some inserted dialogue tells us it's one thing, but obviously Jack is mentioning something else to Dale...perhaps something from a celebrity, since whatever he says gets dubbed over) and Dale agrees and is soon on the bed with Cytherea getting it on.

Evan Stone returns for the final scene (once again in full Pirate gear) and teams up with blonde-haired Erin Moore. This scene includes reverse cowgirl and doggy action, and concludes with a facial for Erin.

While the bonus material is once again on the slim side (only a photo gallery, chapter selection and trailers), the video/audio quality is once again top-notch, as all of Digital Playground's releases now come both anamorphically enhanced and with 5.1 Dolby sound.

Collectors of this series will, of course, want to add this volume to their collection - and newbies needed worry...even if you don't have the previous 17 editions, you can jump right into the fun with Vol. 18 and enjoy the action.
