Amidst a sea of green foliage, blue ocean, orange desert and darkened volcanoes comes Island Fever 2, a sequel that is every bit as erotic and arousing as its predecessor. Directed by Joone, this movie is filmed with such visual grace and style that it immediately reminds one of the best work of adult directors like Andrew Blake - that is, before he went so "softcore" on us in recent years. In an adult market that is currently filled with so many gonzo titles made with hand-held crude equipment, it's refreshing that someone has taken the time and the money to make a truly artistic piece of adult erotica.

Viewers who have been hungering for more Tera Patrick won't have to wait long as she appears in the very first scene of this title, her first of a number of sizzling sex scenes. Deep within the lush greens of the Hawaiian Islands, we find Tera and Erik Everhard slowly exploring one another's bodies before things turn more hardcore. After some deep kissing and heavy petting, Erik gives Ms. Patrick a little oral pleasure, followed by Tera hardening him up with a wet blowjob. Penetration takes place in the cowgirl position first, followed by some standing doggy action in which Erik pops his load onto Tera's ass.

Scene two contrasts the greens of the opening scene by taking us to a darkened lava bed where Devon poses erotically and masturbates for a few minutes before Barrett Blade shows up for a condom-free coupling. The scene must have been shot either in the early morning or late evening hours because there is a remarkable tint of "blue" to the scene that really makes it look exotic, and is once again a colorful contrast to the other scenes in the film.

Once again, Tera and Erik team up - this time on a beach - for what will be Tera's final appearance in this title. Joone has the two actors positioned perfectly, so we can see the white waves crashing up onto the shore behind them, without it interfering with the sexual pairing. After some foreplay in which Erik once again engages in some tit-sex with Tera, she rides him cowgirl style and then blows him until he starts cumming - making sure he exhausts every drop by continuing to pump his cock with her hand.

Returning to the waterfall where we witnessed Tera and Erik getting it on earlier in the movie, we now get to see Devon masturbating under it in a sequence that once again looks like it was filmed in the early or late hours of the day, so viewers can get a somewhat different feel for a location that looked much greener and brighter earlier in the title.

The final scene of Island Fever 2 is another teaming of Devon and Barrett Blade and takes place in an area that is similar to the area where the movie began with the first scene between Tera and Erik. I don't know if this was always intended to be the final scene of this movie or if Joone made the decision after looking at all the footage he shot, but this was my favorite scene of the movie, and one in which I think Devon looks stunningly beautiful. Watching her ride Barrett reverse cowgirl with the gorgeous environment in the background is probably one of the best pieces of "eye candy" I have seen in an adult picture in a number of years. This scene - and the movie - ends with Barrett and Devon in a standing doggy position and with a pop shot onto Devon's behind.

As expected, the video and audio on this DVD are top-notch. The movie is presented in the letterbox fomat (although not anamorphic) and viewers will have the option of watching the movie in either 5.1 or 2.0 Dolby Sound. As for the extras, sadly there is no commentary track on this title, as there was with the first Island Fever. However, there is a 24-minute behind the scenes segment that is quite entertaining and focuses primarily on Tera's experience during the shoot, although fellow stars Devon, Barrett Blade and Erik Everhard are also along for the ride. The behind the scenes featurette is slick, professionally-done, and has a real MTV-like sense of humor about it (including pop up cartoons and comments inserted by the filmmakers) that adult fans should enjoy. Other bonus features on this DVD include seven trailers for other Digital Playground releases, biographies for both Tera and Devon, and a photo gallery and slide show (both of which contain the same pictures).

There's a dreaminess about Island Fever 2 that is sure to show strong appeal to the couples crowd and those who enjoy "porn as art" rather than just the old, ordinary "grab a cam, find a young girl" attitude that seems so pervasive in adult movies today. It's a worthy sequel to the original and surely a must-have for fans of Tera, Devon and this style of adult filmmaking.

Why hello Tera! What a pleasant surprise. I certainly didn't expect to see your latest DVD waiting on my desk when I arrived to work this morning. Incredibly, The 8" Critic has asked me to give my take on this soon-to-be best selling adult film. He must be the new Mr. Roarke of Fantasy Island fame because allowing me to be one of the first people at Adult DVD Reviews to check out Tera's fine work on Island Fever 2 certainly is a fantasy to me!

Just like its award winning predecessor, this movie truly is an island paradise for porn fans everywhere. Heck, you could actually live in Antarctica, and I think this DVD would still make the mercury shoot through the roof of your thermometer. As I'm sure you've guessed, cum shooting uncontrollably from your rock hard dick is sure to be on the agenda as well.

Let's all laud Joone for directing this all-star line up (which also includes some masterful male performances from Erik Everhard and Barrett Blade) to some of their best work to date. I'd be happy just gazing longingly at Tera Patrick. I haven't seen her in ages (well, months) in a new movie. I don't know where she's been. All I know is I've missed her much. It's good to have her luscious body back where it belongs - as the curvaceous centerpiece of yet another smoking hot adult film!

Like I said, Tera's enough to make me melt. But Joone also directs Devon (One of my personal favorites porn queens!) in several highly arousing scenes. And then there's the surprise appearance of this new gal Stormy. Never saw her act before, but I have read about her and seen trailers of her work. Apparently, she's on loan from Wicked for this DVD. And for that they have my undying gratitude. So basically, what you have here are three girls who could all fly solo as the feature artist in an adult film. Instead, they come together in one place to showcase their talents and (as the liner notes so accurately put it) "their pure, raw passion".

And while we're all fortunate enough that Joone put their Treasure Island antics on film for our viewing pleasure, the real lucky bastards in all of this are Everhard and Blade, both of whom have the honor of satisfying these girls sexually in any of a number of exotic, erotic locations in Hawaii.

I can't think of anyone who wouldn't find something to enjoy about this movie (There's even a mix of condom and non-condom penetration.). Truth be told, I can't find anything not to like about this movie in the slightest. The menu screens alone will make you want to blow a load. The picturesque Hawaiian backdrop is the perfect place for the sultry situations in which Tera, Devon and Stormy find themselves.

Usually, I'm not one to heap praise on the setting of an adult film. But before we get to a lengthy critique of the coitus, I think I'll make a one-time exception and give the XXX-citing environs their due. How can I not considering how much the ambiance adds to each and every sex act in this movie? The lush colors of the surrounding have to be seen to be believed. One has to wonder if post-production work was done to touch up the backdrops and make them brighter. Regardless, they are magnificent.

Not that the players in Island Fever 2 need any assistance to get viewers all fired up. Tera looks as stunning as ever. Apparently, she was keeping her body incredibly fit (No Oreo cookies and ice cream for this girl!) during her brief time away from the camera. Devon, as many of you may know, has always held a special place in my horny heart, so to have her alongside Tera in this film is, indeed, a rare treat. And let's not shortchange Stormy. I'm not sure why Wicked let DP borrow her for this flick, but I sure hope they were smart enough to request a cut of the profits from it. Without a doubt, Stormy does herself proud. After eyeballing her in this film, I bet people flock to buy her next DVD, be it produced by Wicked, Digital Playground or otherwise.


OK. Enough with the praise. All of the scenes in this movie are so good they can speak for themselves. They don't need my help, that's for sure. That said, let me provide you with a brief account of what's in store.

The depiction, by the way, will not include an actual description of Tera, Devon or Stormy. We all know how wonderful they look. If you call yourself a true porn fan, and you haven't at least seen a picture of these three, shame on you!

Tera, however, has nothing to be ashamed about in this plotless (That's right. No story. Just sex. Woo Hoo!) film. It begins with Tera and Erik Everhard making out in what appears to be a rain forest (Not to beat a dead horse, but you have to see the colors of the leaves and brush here. They are as green as green can be - unbelievable!) The passion the couple exhibits while kissing and fondling one another's body simply pours out of the screen. As Ms. Patrick grinds her magnificent muff against Erik's awaiting mouth, he hungrily digs his tongue deep into her twat, savoring every last taste of it. Tera then dolls out a picture perfect hummer. All porn star wannabes should watch this scene just to get the proper BJ technique down straight (Guys, I'd tell you to have your girlfriend's look and learn too, but they may be reading this, and I don't want to start a riot. No one can compete with Tera, and you'd just be in a no win situation.). The all-condom penetration that follows includes cowgirl (with Tera's fabulous chest bouncing in time to Erik's thrusting) and some sweaty, energetic doggy. Man, I'm out of breath just watching these two work their bodies. Good thing Erik finally deposited his seed on Tera's butt cheek. I'm not sure I could have lasted much longer before exploding myself!

With Tera and Erik's tryst complete, the scene switches to the delightful Devon posing and masturbating on a volcanic rock face. Barrett Blade shows up and Devon proceeds to give his hog a heaping helping of head. Props to Joone for directing the camera to film the action from behind Devon's beautiful bum so viewers can all catch a glimpse of that wonderfully trim twat of hers. Believe it or not, I think I might like this vignette's doggy sex act a bit better than the Tera/Erik coupling. These ladies just continue to outdo themselves. The pro (Barrett) lasts longer than the semi-pro (GenX) once again. But, of course, Barrett eventually does fire away. I think I'm in the wrong profession.

I may want to change jobs, but Stormy certainly has no need. She's a true porn princess. If you haven't seen this girl before, I suggest you pick up this DVD, put your dick in your hand, sit back and enjoy the show. After seeing her strut nude across the desert, I can't say enough about this girl's potential. Her entire body is fabulous, a true work of art. Most times, I bash movies that focus on the preliminaries at the expense of the actual sex. Not that Island Fever 2 does that. In fact, it most definitely does not. Still, I think I could watch Tera do a little dance and make a little digital love to herself all day long. The same can also be said for Devon and Stormy. Fortunately, though, there's still plenty of screwing around left to do.

Next, we get to peruse another excellent encounter between Tera and Erik. The scene soon fades in on Tera as she's working Erik's girth between her hands and mouth as the couple sits on a boulder in a waterfall lagoon. They're both soaking wet, which is exactly how my boxers were feeling when they subsequently showed Tera spreading her legs and moaning passionately as Erik provided cunnilingus. At this point, all I can say is "Wow!" If Island Fever 2 doesn't sweep up at the 2004 adult movie awards, the judges must be blind, deaf and dumb. This title has all the attributes to be a critical and fan favorite for a long time to come. Before everyone starts handing out the hardware to Tera, Devon, Stormy, Erik, Barrett and Joone, let me beat them to the punch. Here and now, I present to Island Fever 2 a well-deserved (and highly coveted) "Critic's Choice" award. Without question, this film is among the year's best, and one of the few times a sequel is as superior as (and in some ways even better than) its predecessor. Well done!
