Scenario

SCENARIO is a cheap and cheesy video with a high budget attitude. If that description seems internally inconsistent, it's because the scenes certainly are. There is a cool, almost detached design to every sex vignette, sort of like a hardcore THX-1138 but without the sci-fi premise. I can't tell if the picture was enhanced with effects in post-production to give it a dark, moody look, or if the finished product is just the result of creative incompetence. Close-ups are kept to a minimum, and so any down and dirty action becomes muted in medium and far shots. Curiously, the flick is shot in a letterboxed 16:9 image, but all the fancy framing can't make up for lackluster content. I looked forward mainly to covergirl Dani Woodward and all-around sex superstar Monica Sweetheart's performances, but found every scene to have an equal share of "just okay" and absolutely "not-so-good" elements.

"Lofty" features Haley Paige, who wriggles and writhes on a bed located in (what else?) a loft before getting it on with some uncredited actor. This brown-haired lass looks sexy in her lavender bra and panties, but her efforts to arouse us are undermined slightly by the aimless direction. At one point, I was distracted by someone walking casually in the background in a shot which looked more accidental than deliberate. Her oral work on the unknown woodsman is good (love how she casually lies on her stomach and kicks her feet in the air!), and the manner in which she rides him in a sitting cowgirl position is very, very hot. However, the lack of build-up and the cumshot to her crotch ends this encounter with a whimper and not a bang.

Similar problems affect Lucy Lee's scene in "Room Service." Miss Lee has done notable work in Joey Silvera's SERVICE ANIMALS series, but her talent is in SCENARIO. She gives a blowjob to some guy in a bathrobe, but the erotic effect is neutered by the whitewashed lighting and needless visual effects. The same goes with the fucking scenes, which are hard and intense but ruined due to the pounding, monotonous soundtrack and poor visuals. I would much rather hear the natural sounds of Lucy lips slurping on flesh than the synthesized white noise blaring constantly. Skip this scene unless you are in need of a migraine.

"Sun" which appears to be named as such because the opening moments take place outside with Faith masturbating slowly, then sucking some trespasser's cock. I was immediately attracted to this lovely brunette, because of her strong resemblance to the sometimes infamous Taylor St. Clair, an underrated performer who never got her due at the turn of the millennium. (At other angles, Faith reminds me of mainstream actress Rachel McAdams, which is strong praise indeed.) Although her scene is not remarkable, it is probably the most arousing; the director finally spares us the so-called music heard in other scenes, and the fucking action is multi-positioned and ongoing. More importantly, Faith clearly swallows what is obviously a very large shot of splooge, and still manages a bright, sexy smile.

"Blue" spotlights Dani Woodward masturbating in some hotel room before meeting up with her horny male partner. Like Miss Lee and Monica Sweetheart, Dani is in her scene. No mortal being can resist her strutting around in high heels and a sky blue bikini, but I challenge anyone to hold back their frustration while watching her suck cock and getting fucked in sometimes grainy and oftentimes blurry, high contrast visuals which are almost as headache inducing as Lucy's scene. And once again, someone has replaced what should be the natural, arousing sounds of sex with a score which will make you want to stick an ice-pick in your brain. If you intended to pick up this disc for Dani Woodward, then I urge you reconsider and pick up SEMEN SIPPERS or BOY MEATS GIRL instead. You'll thank me for it later.

The (mercifully) last vignette "Mini Monica" naturally focuses on Miss Sweetheart who looks as sexy as ever in a short denim skirt. She emerges from a car, and we follow her into a room with a large couch. She dances, masturbates, and then gives her invited guest a hand-job before sucking him whole. He screws her doggy style, missionary and in reverse cowgirl position up until the time he unloads on her lips, with the residue spilling on a glass table. She licks up a little of what's leftover, then the scene quickly fades to black. It's certainly not one of Monica's better scenes, but she makes the best of what is obviously amateurish direction.

I tried to get a clue as to the director's intent by watching the Behind The Scenes segment found at the end of the movie. But alas, this featurette is almost as vague and as abstract as the main feature. We get meandering footage of the girls on and off the set, but there's no narrative or commentary. (Someone really should buy the director a microphone this Christmas.) It's about as informative and as enlightening as the actual movie, and makes for an overall very disappointing DVD.
