Down The Hatch #11

Though she looks sexier in the video, the unflattering and garishly displayed photo of Rene Pornero is only part of the overall uneasy-on-the-eyes presentation of DOWN THE HATCH #11. Now, gonzo videos in general are not generally known for Vivid-quality beauties (though exceptions like Taylor Rain, Desert Rose and Avy Scott do exist), but quite frankly, most of the performers here are just a wee bit too plain looking to warrant a second look. The cum-swallowing is, of course, generous and amply demonstrated; and the fucking is, naturally, relentless and action-packed. But three of the brunettes (Trixie Kelly, Ariana Jollee, and Rene herself) look so much alike, and their scenes are so similar in conduct and direction, that boredom sank in halfway through the flick. Director John Strong gives us the familiar set-up: the girls introduce themselves and explain what they like enjoy most about drinking cum. (The usual response is that it's "warm.") They stick out their tongues to show us where the splooge is destined to land, and indeed, every girl gets a dollop or more of ball-cream, which is then held between their gums before it makes its way down their throats.

While all this is fine and dandy, I wished that the director (and the entire series) would be a little more creative with the swallowing. Why not have the girls lap up the stuff from their fingers, or from a glass, or off a table top, or from a spoon, or wherever else, as frequently done in THE GANGBANG GIRL series? Or give us some of the more inspired two-girl action found in CUM SWALLOWING SLUTS? There is no reason why freak shows should be limited to the formulaic, and I expect more artistic raunch from a studio like Diabolic/Anabolic.

Actually, I happen to think tongues (or more specifically, women's tongues) are sexy, especially when intertwined with another woman's tongue, or applied generously to a hard-on. Though you don't get any girl-girl encounters in this edition of DOWN THE HATCH - indeed, guys outnumber chicks by a factor of four to one in most cases - there are more blowjobs and tongue-work displayed here than you can shake your dick at. However, the action is usually stiff (no pun intended) and robotic, deliberately leaving out any sensuality or emotion in favor of physical spectacle. For a fuck flick like this, your enjoyment of any scene will be heavily dependent on your attraction to a particular performer. After all was said and done, I just wanted to skip through the cold, clinical action and jump right to the raison d'etre of DOWN THE HATCH, namely, the choad chugging. Thankfully, Diabolic gives us direct chapter access to the climactic finishes (not to mention a cumshot recap section) so spoiled viewers like myself can always cut to the chase.

Besides the cum-swallowing and the lack of eye-candy, what else can one look forward to in this movie? Well, dirty blonde Jasmine Lynn has perky tits and a very cute ass, perfectly made for the DP-ing which is virtually non-stop. Rene Pornero rims her partners on occasion, and sounds convincing when she talks about her love for man-goo. Sophia is a plump, post-teen has a large, man-made chest and kinda-sorta resembles Ginger Spice. (Sophia is definitely more verbally and orally talented, however.) Each girl gets double penetrated one way or another, and in the case of Jayna Oso (who is cute, but makes a twisted face after each of four swallows), she impresses us with her anal skills by taking two cocks straight up the poop shoot. Talk about a tight squeeze. Ariana Jollee, who has very sexy voice, gets double-slammed while being held in an upright position, and is probably the prettiest girl of the bunch.

The male cast members are almost impossible to identify since we rarely see them from above the waste. (I'd like to personally thank Diabolic for eliminating the universally annoying male reaction shots.) However, more astute viewers will probably recognize the cocks of guys like John Strong, Brian Surewood, Mark Davis, Manuel Ferrara, Steve Holmes, Mark Wood, Chris Mountain, Tony T, Mr. Pete, Benjamin Pratt, Dick Nasty, Arnold, Trent Tesoro and Darby Castellov, but none of the credits identify the guys by scene, and the bonus materials (called "XXX-Tras") are of no help. Speaking of which, the audio option gives us the opportunity to turn off the music score (an inspired feature, by the way), and then we get a few more minutes of fucking and sucking footage of each girl as part of the package. Slowly, but surely, this studio is giving us the kind of extras which may one day match the always superb DVD picture and audio quality.

In this gonzo-dominated age when anal fucking and swallowing is the norm, DOWN THE HATCH #11 delivers what it promises, but I was left wanting more.

I was a bit hesitant to pick up this title because I knew that whomever was taking over the series from Mike John had some seriously big shoes (and mouths) to fill. But, I must say, John Strong pulled through with style. In fact, this in now one of my favorite editions of the series.

All the ladies are hot and nasty! They actually seem to enjoy taking a stiff prick (or two for Jayna) up the ass and drinking down every single load fired their way!
