Sex Angels 2

I was a fan of director Xavi Dominguez's first Sex Angels movie, but did he really drop the ball here. The first movie was fun, but this one is just goofy...trying to capitalize on the first movie's lighthearted fun by spoofing a number of different mainstream films. The result is nearly unwatchable - leaving us just the sex scenes to enjoy. The good news is that the sex itself is pretty good, making Sex Angels 2 at least worthy of a rental, if nothing else.

The only returning "Angel" from the first movie is Mya Diamond, who once again reprises her role as Lucy. Liliane Tiger takes over the role played by Sandy Style in the first film; while Tiffany Hopkins replaces Jennifer Dark. The opening scene is Tiffany's, with her making out with some guy (the male actors are named, but not matched to their roles in the credits or the bonus material) in a bed. After giving her anal in the reverse cowgirl and doggy positions, then jerking his load onto her body after some vaginal missionary, the guy tries to get an ice pick (see Basic Instinct) under the bed and kill Tiffany. She stops him, but then the guy blows up while running down the stairs trying to escape. This is just the beginning of how "cornball" this flick gets.

Back at Angel Headquarters, all three girls are talking to "Wally" about their latest adventures. Tiffany has just related her story, so Mya is next and she tells about this time she went to a club where everyone was having an orgy around her while wearing masks (see Eyes Wide Shut). She hooks up with two guys there and has a threesome with them on a couch that includes some DP action. When the sex is over, the guys are supposed to kill her, but they can't bring themselves to do it. So instead, Mya winds up blowing both of them away.

Then it's Liliane's turn to tell what happened to her. Liliane's scene begins with her dancing around in her underwear the way Cameron Diaz did in the mainstream Charlie's Angels flick, and then a couple arrives at her door. They are from a religious cult and want to have sex with her. Once again we get to see some anal sex involving both ladies (the female half of the couple is a blonde I couldn't ID), and once again the guy in the scene tries to kill our sexy Angel at the conclusion.

"Wally" then tells Mya that there's someone out to get the Angels and the only way she can find out who is by paying a visit to "Dr. Hannibal Lester" (I probably don't have to tell you which movie this is taken from, right?). Of course, to get the info she needs, Mya has to have sex with Hannibal, who anally pounds her in the reverse cowgirl and spoon positions, then jerks onto her pussy. One funny bit that I didn't mind from this segment: Hannibal keeps calling Mya's character "Clarice"!

As it turns out, the person trying to kill the Angels is a former Angel herself (see Charlie's Angels 2), played by blonde newcomer Sonia Baby. Sonia is involved in the final two scenes of this movie, the first with her helicopter pilot (which I think is Toni Ribas...not positive, since the guy never takes his sunglasses off), who pounds her both vaginally and anally before jerking into her mouth and onto her face.

The final scene is a mini-orgy involving Sonia, Liliane, Tiffany and two guys that takes place in a country/western bar (that is also Sonia's secret lair!). The nice thing about this final segment - and perhaps the main reason why Sex Angels 2 is at least rental-worthy - is that we get to see all three of the women double penetrated during the action.

Like the first Sex Angels DVD, the picture here is letterboxed, but non-anamorphic. And like most Private releases, this one has been dubbed into English...although oddly even some actors (like Mya) who appear to be speaking English are also dubbed! In fact, the dubbing is so poor here (and laughable during the sex, where comments of the actors seem to have been added where none existed before), I took an extra point off for the audio rating. I don't mind dubbing as much as some other viewers out there (although I would prefer the original language with subtitles - which is not an option here, or on any foreign Private release, it seems), but at least try to do a commendable job with it.

Extras on the disc are only on the average side, although we do get a nice deleted scene with Sonia Baby and two guys in a laboratory that includes a DP and a pair of facial pop-shots. There's also a short "Behind The Scenes" featurette, that is little more than a montage of behind the scenes footage (with no dialogue, just a musical soundtrack). The DVD also includes six trailers (including a front-loaded one for Sex City) for other Private titles and profiles for the female talent.

As noted, Sex Angels 2 has some decent sex in it, but compared to the first movie, this one has to be ranked as a real letdown.
