Last Girl Standing

All of the current Vivid Girls (aside from Tera Patrick) team up for Last Girl Standing, a couples-oriented mildly amusing comedy from director Paul Thomas that is definitely worth adding to your collection.

When the Vivid Girls have teamed up in the past - most notably in the Where The Boys Aren't releases, fans usually only get to see them in girl/girl action with each other. And while we do get an orgy scene with all the Vivid Girls together (sans Jenna Jameson) in this movie, we also get to see each of the girls in their own individual one-on-one scenes with a guy as well (once again, aside from Jenna - whose scene is with Tawny Roberts).

It's perhaps important to note that while Ms. Jameson is certainly one of the major selling points of this release, all seven of the Vivid Girls get equal screen time and equal attention from the camera. By making sure that each girl gets her share of screen time, Paul Thomas has almost certainly assured that Last Girl Standing will become a favorite among frequent buyers of Vivid releases.

All the Vivid Girls play themselves in the film, with Evan Stone and Paul Thomas playing a pair of producers who are looking for the right girl to star in an upcoming big mainstream movie. Of course, with all the girls in competition, they start to get suspicious of each other - particularly Jenna, whom most of the girls feel is out to sabotage the rest of them.

The first sex scene in the movie is between Tawny Roberts and Ben English, who hook up in an outdoors hot tub. The girls have to learn an English accent if they want to be part of the film Evan and Paul are planning, and since Ben is from jolly ole England, Tawny needs his help...and hopes to convince him by offering up her body to him.

Most of the other scenes are performances that are done for Evan and Paul - starting with an outdoors scene that matches Kira Kener with Anthony Hardwood. Kira gets anally filled in the doggy position, and viewers hoping for more anal action will be happy to hear that Vivid Girls Savanna Samson and Briana Banks also get a bit of anal filling in their respective boy/girl scenes as well.

Savanna's scene is up next, and she's dressed up as a southern belle for her pairing with Kurt Lockwood, which takes place on a couch. Savanna gets anal in both the missionary and reverse cowgirl positions and Kurt finishes up by jerking his load all over her body - including onto her tits.

One of my favorite scenes in Last Girl Standing belongs to Sunrise Adams - primarily because she seduces Chris Cannon while wearing her cheerleading uniform from all those Debbie Does Dallas movies she's been making. The two go at it on a flight of stairs, with Sunrise getting pounded in the reverse cowgirl, standing doggy and missionary positions.

Another very nice scene is between Briana Banks and Evan Stone, which gets off to a wild start when Evan decides to sit on Briana's face and her to give him a rim job. He also does some feeding of his cock to her early in the sequence - making Briana take the full length of his tool into her mouth. This scene also includes Evan fucking Ms. Banks anally in the doggy position, and concludes with him jerking his seed onto her face while standing above her.

The all-out lesbian orgy scene is up next, and it's a pretty wild one, with both toy and strap-on action taking a big part in the scene. The six girls involved pretty much pair up with one other girl for most of the action - but they do make sure to switch partners frequently, so the scene remains entertaining throughout. I could probably devote an entire review to all the different positions tried here - so I'll refrain from going into any further detail and let viewers enjoy the fun of watching their favorite Vivid Girls all together.

Mercedez gets her boy/girl scene next - one in which she's teamed with European performer Mario Rossi. This segment includes missionary, doggy, and reverse cowgirl, and it concludes with Mercedez sucking off Mario until he shoots onto her face.

While Jenna is a big part of Last Girl Standing throughout, she only has one sex scene in the movie, and it's the final one - as she pairs up with Tawny Roberts for what I believe is their first ever on-camera coupling. This isn't one of Jenna's best girl/girl encounters (Her scene with Belladonna in Bella Loves Jenna will be tough to top), but it's a decent one, with Jenna wearing a strap-on during the end of the action and giving it to Tawny in several positions - including penetrating her ass in the reverse cowgirl and missionary "pile driver" positions.

As always, Vivid has included five bonus scenes on this DVD - all of which contain one of the Vivid Girls from this movie in some of their past action. For the record, viewers will get to see Dasha, Kira Kener and Mercedez from Where The Boys Aren't 16; Briana and Talon from The Dark Side Of Briana; Savanna and Mario Rossi from Savanna Takes Control; Tawny, Rick Patrick and Chris Cannon from Unlovable; and Jenna and Sunrise from Where The Boys Aren't 16.

Other bonus material includes a 16-minute behind the scenes featurette; a humorous 6-minute segment full of bloopers and outtakes from the shoot; slide shows featuring the Vivid Girls; four trailers for other Vivid releases; and multiple angles for selected portions of the movie's sex scenes.

Last Girl Standing proves to be a pretty good showcase for Vivid's current slate of contract girls, and didn't disappoint this reviewer, even with all the hype Vivid has been pumping out for this release. If you're a fan of any one of these starlets, this DVD is worth a spot in your collection.

The stars are gorgeous, and they make the movie. But the way the sex scenes were shot just aren't that hot to me. Maybe I have been spoiled by othe releases, or maybe it is my personal taste. But the only thing hot about this movie was the talent in it. Good for a rental, not a purchase.

With Last Girl Standing, which is a b/g version of their very successful Where the Boys Aren't series, Vivid Video has created their best sex video in a long, long time.

Similar to the WTBA series, Last Girl Standing features many of the Vivid contract girls--but this time each girl has her own sex scene with a guy. The premise behind Last Girl Standing is simple, but works: a mainstream movie producer (Evan Stone) is casting porn actresses to be in his latest production that will include real sex scenes...and each of the assembled cast of porn performers must demonstrate for him their skills in three areas: sexual performance, dancing ability and British accent (don't ask). Yeah, it's a Porn version of the reality TV show, American Idol.

Anyway, this set-up allows for "audition sex" opportunities, as well as "behind the scenes" sex encounters as the girls practice their routines, or attempt to gain advantage over the competition. Which brings us to the sex.

First up is Tawny Roberts with chrome-dome Ben English (who is a gardner at the mansion that serves as the setting for the auditions/competition...can you say "Lady Chatterly's Lover"?), who agrees to tutor Tawny in a proper British accent after she fucks him senseless in an outdoor gazebo/hot tub. Although there is no anal sex, this opening scene is a sure-fire boner. Tawny continues to look fantastic (although I'd like her to grow some pubic hair), and is a spirited performer--giving a great blowjob, followed by several sexual positions, with the best being a reverse cowgirl that pratically has Ben in tears.

The opening sex scene is followed by a few anal-inclusive scenes with Vivid Girls Kira Kerner, Briana Banks, and Savanna Samson. The Savanna and Kira scenes are particularily good, although Savanna's nipple and pussy piercings remain a ugly distraction for me. The Briana scene is less effective because she has to work with Evan Stone, who kills any sexual heat because of his low, low hanging balls.

Sunrise Adams also turns in a hot performance, on a staircase, with Chris Cannon (her ass looks great when she puts one leg up on the bannister, so that Chris can have a better access to her pussy); and Mercedez has a good scene, too--but hers is the weakest performance in the video.

At this point is should be pointed out that although Jenna Jameson receives top billing (it must be in her Vivid contract) she is in only one g/g scene. But that hardly matters because Tawny is in a total of three scenes: the Ben English b/g gazebo fuck, a g/g with Jenna at the end, and she participates in the all girl orgy, which starts off as a fight between Tawny and Briana.

This Vivid Girl orgy, while not up on a par of, say, the pool table scene in WTBA #12, is still pretty good with all the girls changing partners again and again, having sex throughout the living room.

Last Girl Standing closes with the Jenna/Tawny fuckfest, with Jenna being the "dom" working Tawny's pussy and ass. In fact, Jenna uses a strap-on and fucks Tawny's beautiful, tight butt in several positions...including a pretty good piledriver! This scene, in my opinion, is the symbolic "passing of the torch" of the Vivid Girl status from Jenna to the now very accomplished Tawny--who, in my opinion, now embodies the essential qualities of a Vivid Girl as created, first by Ginger Lynn, then Jamie Summers.

The Vivid Girls, like Playboy Playmates, are a pretty (not beautiful) Girl-Next-Doors...who have a modern, positive attitude about fucking, without being too nasty or gross!

Tawny Roberts has, during this first year of her two-year Vivid contract, come to symbolize the Vivid Girl. She fucks numerous porn studs (not just her boyfriend, Rick Roberts/Patrick), works in lots of videos, does frequent anals with her various partners, does 3-way sex (but no gangbangs)...and all with a cherry-fresh, fun attitude. So, it seems natural to me that Last Girl Standing should showcase Tawny sexual abilities--and gives her the important "opening" and "closing" sex scenes. It's her video.

As for the extras, Vivid has out-done itself this time around. There's not only the standard "previews" of up-coming Vivid productions, but, also, Vivid Girl scenes from other videos (including Tawny's 3-way from Unloveable with Rick and Chris Cannon), and a behind the scene featurette on the making of Last Girl Standing. This featurette is very good, and hopefully, Vivid will continue to produce "Making of...." as a staple of their DVDs.

Last Girl Standing is a cleverly written (by Raven Touchstone) and directed (by Paul Thomas) sex video, which confirms Tawny Roberts' status as the premier Vivid Girl--at this time. Of course, now that Vivid has new talent (Lexie Marie, Monique Alexander, and the Love Twins) Vivid would be smart to produce more Last Girl Standing features (one or two per year), to display the b/g talents of their Vivid contract girls...allowing each viewer to decide who is, for him/her, the Vivid Girl.
