Up and Cummers 55

Approaching nearly one hundred volumes of this long-running, Award-winning series, UP AND CUMMERS can sometimes be a mixed bag of goods. Although each entry is usually over two hours in length, much of the camera time is spent on extended footage of the same action stretched out over its natural time. If you are a fan of the actress (like Leena in #12, or Jenna Jameson in #10 and #11, or April Flowers in #71), then watching these scenes can be an absolute joy, as the pro-amateurs take their own sweet time doing what they do best.

On the other hand, if the women who appear don't immediately strike your fancy, watching the movie can be a chore, especially when their scenes go on interminably. Such is the case with UP AND CUMMERS #55, which has some attractive women, but none that prompted any immediate repeat viewing.

The video starts off auspiciously when the first scene features overly made-up Latina cuties Papillion and Vanessa in a "continued from U & C #54." Naturally, my immediate reaction was being a little cheesed off that I was walking into the middle of a scene which started in a video I had not yet seen. I know that these "to be continued" segments are a great marketing idea to the viewer to keep watching future volumes of the series, but it's not fair to extend a scene over two discs just to generate sales (nowhere was this more infuriating than in U & C #49 and #50, where the viewer is to change discs in order to watch the complete segment involving Mr. West and twin beauties Marika and Dominica).

To make matters worse, Randy commits the same crime again when we join up blonde Sylvia and brunette Zoi seemingly in the middle of their scenes, which originally began in #54! Sylvia is a sexy blonde with great oral skills, and Zoi is an even sexier brunette who plays with toys in an aggressive masturbatory frenzy (for both her and us!), but seeing their "incomplete" scenes is a real pain in the ass if you wanted to watch their segments without changing discs (even if you have a disc changer, I can't imagine that skipping scenes between two DVDs would add to your porn enjoyment).

In any event, aside from those two irksome problems with this feature, I have to say that this is not one of the better editions of UP AND CUMMERS that I have seen. It's always great to see two girls go at it for some tag-team hummers, but Vanessa and Papillion have too much of a cheap and slutty appearance which detracts from their supposed "amateur" status. Of course, Randy has a grand old time getting to have his way with both of them, but there is also a lot of dead air as one girl lies back looking bored as the other one is getting fucked. Even the anal scenes have a clinical, dull direction to them which made this scene very disappointing and set the tone for the rest of the video.

The other featured star, Jennifer Divine, is a curly-haired girl-next-door type who is dressed up in a maid's uniform. Unfortunately, I couldn't must that much interest in her straight scene with Randy West, although there is no denying that she is a masterful cocksucker and seems to enjoy swallowing Randy's near invisible load. Jennifer's distant resemblance to mainstream actress Lili Taylor. Other viewers, of course, may feel differently.

Zaftig Latina cutie Angelica De La Sol shares an outdoor scene with Vince Voyeur and Randy in a good, but certainly not great, scene which ends with a messy splooge shot all over her face. The action is good, but by the numbers and there is very little in the way of sexual chemistry among all three performers (not that I was looking for any magic as between Randy and Vince, by the way!).

Video quality is as good as it can be for mostly indoors camera work. Sooner or later, Mr. West is going to have to change the decor of his house (I assume it's his house) because I'm sure we're all getting tired of seeing the same settings again and again. Audio quality is also good, but you better get used to the long moments of silence during the action where the performers are subdued to the point of boredom.

This volume is indeed an all-around disappointing entry in a usually above-average series. If any of these scenes are "continued" in #56, then I will probably skip that one, too.
