Elements of Desire

This film kind of reminded me of that Twilight Zone episode where the guy buys a new tv and whenever he watches it, he finds weird channels that he has never seen before. Elements of Desire is based around Julia Ann and her magical sex tv. Whenever she watches it, these explicit (to say the least) channels and shows come on, which she can't help rubbing herself to. Well, I guess it's time to play the critic and analyze these shows.

The first show Julia finds is one with Maeva rolling around in a pool of water as rain pours down around her. Needless to say, she is an outdoors type of person and gets so excited about the of nature that she feels the need to stroke herself to climax as she continues to roll around and splash about innocently in the water. The following show pits Celeste against Misty Rain in crotchless bodysuits and hoods. They kiss through the hoods and then go down on each other, pleasing themselves as only women truly can. Then out comes the silver vibrator which is used first on Celeste and then on Misty Rain, who writhes around in ecstasy as it is shoved in and out with increasing speed. They then pull the old reliable 69 and lick each other to climax.

Uncertain about her future, or just looking for someone to talk to, Julia calls a Tarot card reader (Dyanna Lauren), who promptly shows, up, reads her fortune and then proceeds to blindfold Julia and lick her up and down. Apparently she is the full service version of psychic. After a good box munching, Julia removes the blindfold and uses it on Dyanna, who gets the same brand of good, down-home lesbian licking. Later that night on the sex channel, Julia catches a spot with Celeste, who is poolside getting oiled up before she guy who is doing the oiling licks her feet and then slides his dick between her heaving mounds of mammilla and lunges. Celeste gets the hint and goes down on him, swallowing that rod until he is fully done on her face.

Apparently tv does have an influence on people as Julia struts out into the next scene in a full stripper gear and proceeds to strip for her husband who sits on the couch slackjawed with a bottle of . After her seductive dance, Julia comes over for a good licking up and down, which then turns into her gobbling the proverbial knob before climbing on said knob for a ride. Her husband then flips her ver and hit sit from behind before using a nearby candle to immortalize her ass in wax. Daisy and Draghixa star in the next scene which entails a very convincing and sensual caress and touch session that ends with both of them going down on the other. Is it alright to have to adult film stars rolling around with each other on a white carpet? I mean, I would venture that neither of them was a virgin before this film...

In the mandatory domination scene, Celeste and Paula Price, dressed in black latex, grab schoolgirl Asia and strip her down. They then bring out the glass dildo, which is used generously on Asia who proceeds to lick the black strap-ons that both Celeste and Paula are wearing. Abandoning the strap-ons, they decide to have their lunches at the Y. Paula Price eats Asia as she eats Celeste. They end up with a little kiss before the scene fades out. Once again, Julia is feeling a bit randy and we catch her in the bedroom with her husband where they are preparing for the daily love feast. As they are in the process of getting' it on, who should walk through the door but America's sweetheart adult film star, Shayla LaVeaux. Shayla wastes no time showing Julia who is boss. Julia is to go down on her, but gets reciprocal treatment from Shayla before Julia's husband comes over and gets a double treat of both the girls going down on him. He then gets to fuck Shayla for awhile before he offers the protein pack to both of them.

The film ends with Shayla, Julia, and the husband on the couch watching a montage of shows on the tv. These shows include Deidre Holland in an elaborate leather rigging getting eaten out by PJ Sparxx and Tiffany Mynx getting the same treatment from a captive guy as she stands above him, lace cape trailing in the wind like a porn superhero.

Overall, this film was ok. Nothing really special here. Much like an Andrew Blake film, it had a lot of sensuality, moody music, and symbolism that I didn't get. In terms of features, this disc was quite limited, having only chapter search and a picture gallery.

I strongly recommend that you purchase this 1995 Cameron Grant classic.
Ultimate has several of the Cameron Grant classics in
its catalog, as well as a couple of Andrew Blake numbers.
Ultimate's release of "Dinner Party" on DVD was, frankly,
disappointing. There were no extras to speak of, except
for one trailer and a static chapter menu.
I am happy to report that this release is much improved.
There are biographies of some of the stars, a photo gallery,
and a full motion chapter menu. The improvement may
be due to the fact that Ultimate partnered with Adam & Eve (who
co-produced Flashpoint, among other notable movies).

Additionally, there are no major technical glitches on this
DVD. The sound is excellent, and the video is, on average,
greatly improved over videotape, although the improvement ranges
from none to like night and day, depending on the scene.

The cast blows you away with its excellence. Julia Ann, Celeste,
Dyanna Lauren, Misty Rain, Asia Carrera, Draghixa, Shayla LaVeaux,
Tiffany Minx, Maeva, Deidre Holland, and, as the box cover will not
allow you to miss, Jenna Jameson (billed as Daisy). The snake on the
boxcover does not appear in the movie (I think I'll be able to cope).

I was originally not going to write a review of what I always believed to be a self-evident fact; namely, that Cameron Grant's ELEMENTS OF DESIRE is one of the best porno films ever made, with incredibly beautiful women, stylish photography and hot sex.

But I am amazed and appalled that other reviewers are giving it the short shrift! Because make no mistake about it, this movie which got rave reviews when it first came out and it still holds up today, amidst all the other cheap videos coming from other porno manufacturers.

Key scenes to look out for include the following: an incredibly slow-motion cum shot in the eager mouth of the gorgeous Celeste; Misty Rain and Celeste performing a spectacular girl-girl scene with plenty of tongue-kissing; Tiffany Mynx doing an athletic fuck and suck with one lucky bastard; Asia Carrera being dominated by Paula Price and Celeste; and Shayla LaVeux caught in the middle of sucking some other lucky bastard's dick right before Julia Ann attacks her in a torrid lesbian scene. The look on the lovely Shayla's face is worth the price of the disc alone.

The appearance of Jenna Jameson is highlighted as a selling-point on the cover of this DVD, but to me, it is Julia Ann's and Celeste's movie all the way. Julia Ann is stunning on the outside packaging and looks even better throughout the film.

My only quibble with this disc is that the original film was very grainy, and that grain is all too apparent on the DVD. Also, there is very little in the ways of extras and no trailer for this movie. Still, this is a piece of porno art and should be in everyone's DVD collection. I highly recommend it without reservation.
