There's Something So Wrong About The Way This Movie Ends...
Something So Right is yet another couples-oriented title from Wicked Pictures about a relationship where the husband and wife do a little exploring outside the marriage and then decide in the end that they are what's best for each other.
While, overall, the movie is pretty good, the biggest problem I had with the story is that the husband (played by Randy Spears) in this tale has every right to leave his wife (Sydnee Steele), yet chooses to go back with her for no good reason other than the fact that he wants to make his marriage work. Meanwhile, his wife only seems to be coming back to the marriage because she "struck out" with the guy she was seeing. Sure, she vocalizes some remorse for what she has done, but she's such a conniving character that she really deserves to be sent packing.
The movie opens with a nice threesome between Randy, Sydnee and Cherie in a bathtub. Randy gets his cock sucked by both girls, and then gives Cherie some doggy while she is licking out Syndee. Sydnee gets some reverse cowgirl with Randy; Randy gives Cherie some additional fun in the cowgirl position; and the scene ends with a facial on both girls' lips.
However, we find out that the first scene was just a fantasy that Randy was thinking about while jerking-off in the bathroom. His real life is much less exciting, and his wife pretty much wants nothing to do with him. In fact, she's heading off for a weekend with her rich lover (played by Brad Armstrong) when the movie opens - leaving Randy alone by himself at their small apartment.
While Sydnee is gone, Randy notices a young woman (April) rollerblading outside his apartment. She falls on the sidewalk, twists her ankle, and Randy offers to help out by taking him up to her place to get some ice on it. The next day, April returns to thank Randy and offers to make dinner for him...although Randy winds up doing most of the cooking. Sure enough, after the two have eaten, they decide to have each other for dessert!
It's only after Randy and April have gotten together that the viewer discovers what is really going on. Syndee has hired April to seduce her husband because she plans to get a divorce and she wants to make the proceedings easier on herself. But Sydnee soon finds out what a jerk Brad's character is, and even catches him about to make out with two other women (Avy Scott and Lezley Zen).
Sydnee returns home to tell April that she has changed her mind about getting a divorce, and while April does leave her phone number with Randy, she never confesses what was really going on, nor does Randy ever find out about it. The movie ends with a coupling between Randy and Sydnee...at the end of which, Randy tears up April's phone number.
Had Randy found out what his wife had been up to and still decided to be married to her, I might have come away from Something So Right with a more positive view of the film. As it stands though, few viewers are going to be satisfied with the conclusion that the story has, and even fewer couples are going to approve of the way things end. Sure, it might be more realistic that Randy never finds out what Sydnee did for him, but that doesn't mean it's the preferable ending.
On the other hand, the sex is enjoyable to watch...and while there's no real outstanding coupling in this movie, there's no boring sexual action, either. The biggest problem I had was that the sound levels were off - with the soundtrack music a little too loud and the actors' dialogue muddy and low. The video is above average, and the bonus features include a 40-minute behind the scenes featurette and a few easy-to-find Easter Eggs.
Something So Right is decent viewing, and should appeal particularly to couples, but it isn't quite the intense and interesting kind of sex flick that we're used to getting from director Jonathan Morgan.
