Thighs Wide Open

Chloe stars as a young married woman who begins to explore her sexuality in Thighs Wide Open, a better than average porn given a nice DVD presentation by VCA. While Chloe would not be my first choice to play a sexually repressed woman (since she's one of the most sexually adventurous starlets out there), she pulls off the role nicely, and Chloe fans should certainly add this to the list of her available titles that qualify as a "must-have".

As the movie begins, we are introduced to a young married couple, played by Chloe and Evan Stone who are off to a party for the business that Evan works for. Before they go however, we find out that Evan is less than satisfied with his sexual life, as his wife seems to only want to do the missionary position in bed, and is uninterested in anything else.

At the party, Evan is taken aside by Bridgette Kerkove, who is speaking to Evan on behalf of his boss. It seems like Evan has been calling phone sex lines during work, and the boss wants to reprimand him for it. Evan confesses to Bridgette that the reason he calls is because his own wife is such an ice queen. Bridgette both feels sorry for, and is turned on by Evan, and the two of them go at it on top a pool table.

Meanwhile, Chloe meets Randy Spears at the party, and when Chloe asks Randy if he thinks she is sexy, he says no. He explains that she is beautiful, but that she doesn't seem sexy at all. He then takes her upstairs and tells her he is going to show her what he thinks "sexy" is. He plays a videotape which shows Charlene Aspen and Ronni Cox both working in a flower garden, and both eventually getting it on with one another.

Chloe is turned on by the videotape, and Randy invites her to a party where she will be able to explore her sexual inhibitions. This, of course, is where the take on Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut begins, as Chloe finds herself at an orgy, where everyone wears masks. Before she is introduced to the rest of the group, however, we get a really hot scene between Randy and Chloe on a staircase, which was my personal favorite segment of the film.

Fisting fans may enjoy a later scene in the movie, where Chloe is involved in a lesbian three-way with Bridgette and T. J. Hart, and T.J. presses both her hands flat against each other and slides them into Chloe. This is probably the closest to a fisting scene that fans are going to get these days in mainstream porn (due to the risk of violating obscenity laws), and it even looked like some of this scene was edited, probably due to the fact that T. J. slipped a little more hand into Chloe than director F.J. Lincoln was comfortable with.

The movie concludes with Chloe returning home and finally loosening up with her husband when it comes to sex. The final scene between Chloe and Evan includes some anal, and takes place in the couple's kitchen.

Thighs Wide Open isn't a great film, but it's better than average and is recommended mainly to the many fans of Chloe out there. Chloe is going to be exclusive with VCA (at least for now), and Thighs Wide Open is a nice warm-up as we wait for Chloe's big "Fantasex" release from VCA on DVD.

The video is top notch, but the audio is just above average, as a lot of the dialogue was hard to hear, especially when compared to the sound level of the soundtrack music. The features on this DVD include cast biographies, three trailers, chapter selection and web site information.

I'm super picky about my porn. So many films have contrived sex scenes that run through the same checklist over and over again. This film had more variety; the scene with Chloe and Randy on the stairs was worth the price all by itself. Plus I liked the use of camera angles - they really get the viewer in to what is happening.
