No Man's Land 25

This is an excellent effort from the No Man's Land series of girl-on-girl videos.

There are often complaints from fans of the girl/girl genre about professional porn actresses who go through their moves, and their alleged lack of spontaneous excitement and passion in same, but a video is a performance, it is supposed to create an illusion, and if the director is skilled and the actresses are talented, it's more entertaining to me than watching a couple or more awkward amateurs who don't know what they are doing nor supposed to be doing, and who keep looking up at the director and into the camera for a clue.

The appeal of a commercial series like NML is that it's a known product. You can always rely on the most attractive, well-groomed, and sexy actresses, plus top-notch production values. You don't want to know about cameramen and crew hovering right over the girls during filming. Professionals can successfully create the illusion that you are watching the girls get on with each other in private.

This episode of NML is done is an unusual pseudo-documentary style. The between-the-scene interviews with the girls work well. Women talking openly about their first lesbian experiences and their attraction to other women sexually is a strong turn-on. Seeing gorgeous babes like Shayla La Veaux and Kim Alexus talking openly about their Sapphic desires is very arousing. Kim is a gorgeous stacked blonde, and when she matter-of-factly confesses how she "really enjoys" other girls off-screen, the erotic content blasts over the top.

The "documentary" narration leads into scenes, trailing the actress interviews, but stops when the action begins, and does not intrude on the scenes themselves. The background music is low-level and does not drown out the sounds of the sex.

Girls talking about their first lesbian encounter and their love for eating warm, wet pussies is as erotic as the action itself, but the action here sizzles, especially scene #3 between Keri Windsor and Juliette Carelton. This scene is an instant classic, one of the best acted and filmed lesbian love scenes you will ever see. Both girls have young, perfectly shaped bodies, and are genuinely passionate and animated, with lots of real, no-holding-back hugs, moans, and deep tongue kisses. If you have ever been frustrated by the softcore Playboy type "tease but no please" videos, this will cure what ails you. It is two gorgeous young women indulging their burning lesbian lust for each other with absolutely no inhibitions.

They start out in bed getting each other out of their cut-offs and tops with just the right amount of kissing, moaning, and real-life side moves, such as ass-slapping, to make their passion very convincing. This comes right after both girls have confessed to loving pussy in their private lives. They get hard into each other's snatches with their mouths and fingers, and the dildo stuff later on is minimal and not intrusive. Some scenes on this tape are kind of leisurely, but this one is wildly manic from start to finish. Juliette is especially aggressive and seems to enjoy what she is doing to Keri's sex with her tongue and fingers, smiling while she makes Keri writhe in arousal and pleasure. It's obvious that Keri and Juliette love girl/girl sex. It doesn't get any hotter in a lesbian video than the passionate kissing, embracing, and wrestling, breasts mashing together, which ends this scene.

The recurring "documentary" interviews pace the video well. Using the welding shop as a rough, raw, unfinished set works out fabulously. The video work is excellent, and the colors and lighting are used imaginatively and attractively, setting the mood well and really flattering the actresses. The camera angles and editing are what you would expect from a professional production.

Scene #4 takes place in the welding shop between a fresh young face, Vivi Anne, and the always reliable and fiery Chandler. Though she's done a number of adult features, in this video Vivi Anne looks and acts like the tentative schoolgirl eating her first pussy. Chandler reacts wildly to Vivi's curious probing and experimenting with her mouth and fingers. Then when it's Chandler's turn to do Vivi, she knows exactly how to please her. Vivi Anne's performance is relatively quiet and reserved until she starts to actually come under Chandler's expert ministrations. She begins to loosen up once Chandler pushes a dildo into her smooth little pussy. Chandler of course is much more relaxed and unselfconscious, she knows what she wants from a lesbian encounter, and she is able to lie back and enjoy the tryst with Vivi Anne very much. The final orgy in scene #5, with 6 of the girls pairing off into 3 couples, is well handled. The camera work and editing here are deliberate and focused, so you get a good sampling of what is going on, including some excellent close-ups. The director and editor avoid the usual faults of many orgy scenes, which typically degenerate into a mess of rapid cuts, awkward angles, and soulless vocalizing. The moans and smacks of three lesbian couples going at each other passionately at the same time, and then the sounds of contented slurping and kissing at the end of the scene is very arousing. And the girls do change partners in the scene which makes it even more interesting.

DVD extras include cast bios (to easily identify all, not just some, of the actresses), random access scene selection, a snapshot gallery, a 25 minute "Behind the Scenes" featurette, and "Centerfold Girls" video previews of nine Video Team interracial cast members.

I'd have to give this video a top rating based on the inclusion of the Keri/Juliette scorcher in scene #3 alone, but add in the other seven fine-looking babes, plus the videography, lighting, editing, soundtrack, DVD extra features, and the original premise, and it just doesn't get any better, folks. This is the goods.

NML 25 is another good release in the NML series. It has no real story. The video is a fake documentary on the making of an all-girl porn movie. It's supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

Audio and video quality are good.

There are five scenes. None of them are really memorable, but none are bad either. I enjoyed scenes three, four, and five the most. Here are the logistics: Liza and Shayla in a jail cell; Gina, Kim, and Natasha in some kind of nightclub; Keri and Juliette in a bed in a room (they really needed to work harder on that set); Chandler and Vivi in a welding shop; Keri, Juliette, Chandler, Vivi, Kim, and Shayla in a living room. The orgy scene was well done. Usually the orgy scenes disappoint me, so enjoying one this much was a bit of a surprise.

The extras are good. The best one is a 25-minute behind the scenes video of all the girls being photographed while on the set. It gives you a really good look at the girls' bodies. You also get some trailers and a photo gallery.

This video was good, but could have been better. My main gripe is that Wesley Emerson (the director) has a tendency to keep the camera too close to the action when filming. There are scenes where he has the camera so close that you can barely fit half of the actress' face or other body parts on the screen. However, the girls are good looking and the sex is good.

This is an excellent movie. Lots of kissing, lots of oral action, very little use of toys (which I hate) and passion. The only problem I had is that they put an interview section in the middle of the video. Each girl is asked why men like seeing girls make out with girls. Without this diversion, the tape would be a five star movie.
