Sexual Species

Occasionally an adult film will surpass the medium, bringing the viewer something new in story and style while still delivering the hot sex that every porno fan demands. Matt Zane's SEXUAL SPECIES is such a movie. With an interesting plot, some great action (both sexual and of the general kind), and above average production values, this is a film that deserves to be singled out and recognized.

The plot alone is worthy of a solid B-movie: Seems as if the 1994 earthquake in southern California was not due to any terrestrial means, but was caused by the alignment of our solar system with another. A portal opened between our world and theirs, and through use of a device known as the "Triangate", alien beings came to our planet. The aliens must have sexual relations every few hours to maintain their life , and they have also constructed another "Triangate" here on Earth to return them to their home world. But their return will cause another earthquake, and their plans are to go back and bring all of their alien friends back to Earth for breeding purposes. A small group known as "The Opposition" is aware of the alien threat and is preparing to attack the alien headquarters and blow up the "Triangate" as the movie begins.

The opening scene introduces us to the leader of the aliens, Emerald, who is played by Sunset Thomas. She is on the roof of the alien headquarters discussing her evil plans with Kyle Stone. But it seems as if it is time to sustain her life , so things start to get pretty hot and heavy between Sunset and Kyle.

Meanwhile, "The Opposition", led by Nici Sterling as "X" and a group of guys who look more like rap stars than they do a para-military enter the warehouse in which the aliens have set up base. Almost immediately, Nici is captured, leaving the guys to do their work alone. One of the guys, played by Rick Masters, is lured away by Lexi Ericson for replenishment. Rick seems to enjoy the fun, but after he unloads on Lexi's face, he crumples lifelessly onto the floor. He's still alive, but apparently now just a willing servant to the alien women. You know, kind of the way your wife or girlfriend has control over you!

Sunset welcomes the captured Nici to her lair, and instructs her minions, Dave Hardman and Steve Hatcher to have their way with her. Sunset leaves and finds Sean Rider, and the Rick Masters to have some fun with. Both women are treated to some hot DP action from their respective males before all is said and done.

While this is going on, "The Opposition" is moving closer to finding the "Triangate" and blowing it to kingdom come. One member of "The Opposition", played by director Matt Zane runs across one of the bad guys, played by Craig Smith. What follows is easily the best action sequence in porno history as the two really go at it! The scene is so entertaining, it nearly became the first time watching adult film that I could say the best scene in the movie did NOT involve sex.

I did say "nearly", because in the very next scene we get a hot three-way between Sunset Thomas and two of the sexiest women in the history of porn: Tami Monroe and Asia Carrera. I hadn't seen Ms. Monroe in a film for a while, and I forgot how hot her petite, yet busty body can be! For you trivia fans out there, turns out that (at least at the time of production) Tami is actually Matt Zane's stepmom! Talk about your forbidden fruit! Anyway, just when you think the three can't get any hotter, Asia puts on a strap-on and Tami starts riding her cowgirl style! Someone please remind me why we are trying to stop these aliens?!

The final sex scene is another good one, as Steve Hatcher gets to have a little fun with Asia...I guess the two girls couldn't sustain her life as much as Steve's hard member could!

The DVD version of SEXUAL SPECIES includes cast biographies of the girls, some previews, a breakdown of the scenes, and a mini-commentary by the director in which he discusses some of the action of the movie. Fans who enjoy really hot sex, as well as those looking for more from their porn should really enjoy this film. From beginning to end, SEXUAL SPECIES delivers a story that will keep you interested and turned-on, no matter what galaxy you are from.

Matt Zane's sci-fi opus comes to DVD with just about every bell or whistle you could want. Not only does the disc look and sound fantastic, it features director's commentary throughout with some illuminating insights into the making of the vid, bios of the girls, a stills gallery, tons of chapter stops, and a "theme" menu that lets you jump to individual sex scenes based on the action. A truly excellent disc, and a strong prenom for best DVD.
